It's that time of year again...

... where college hopefuls bombard the other forum members for information regarding their chances into a college. xD; Lol. Anyways, hello. I'm here to ask about my chances as well. :] I would greatly appreciate it if you could give me some feedback, or just a comment or two. Please and thank you in advance. <3

DEBATING whether or not to do AP Psychology on my own. My AP Biology teacher had a student who did this last year, and he's urging me to do this as well. Should I? Shouldn't I? I think AP Psychology is easy enough and I can cover the course material on my own.

AP Scores:
World: 3
Biology: 5
Calculus AB: 5
Comp. & Lang.: 4
Spanish: I took the late test and my Dad lost the frickin' thingy. So I'm going to go ask my Spanish teacher when school starts. I expect a 3-4.

-SAT Scores-
First shot (March):
Math: 660.
English: 750.
Writing: 720, 10.

Second shot (June):
Math: 760.
English: 730.
Writing: 730, 8.

SAT IIs! (May):
Biology: 790. Agahsjghlaskg SO FRICKIN' CLOSE!... is all I have to say about that.
Math 2: 760.

-Extracurriculars-
Newspaper: Okay, there's something special about Newspaper. This year, I was supposed to be Editor-In-Chief. That's not happening because it's a class now. D: It used to be after school! There's no way I can fit it into my schedule. Anyways, I was thinking of droping AP Physics so I can fit it into my schedule (and pick up another leadership position)... but idk. Argh. D<
I was Fiction and Tech Editor. I've talked it over with the new advisor -- I think I can still be Fiction Editor. I've done this four years.

Yearbook: Copy Editor, Editor-in-Chief this year! x3; Three years! GO YEARBOOK! <333 Yeah, I'm in love with this class. Lol.

CST/Science Club: Three years. Treasurer, then Publicist. I was on the team that made it to semifinals in a science bowl... is this last part even relevant? (Yes, I did participate.)

Spanish Club: Two years. Two years as Publicist. I did this to supplement my Spanish classes. :]

Marching Band: Two years. Last year was Assistant Section Leader.

Tutoring: Three years. I tutor for 1-2 hours at my school every week.

-Awards-
Rensselaer Medal Award. Whatever this is, well, I got it. xD;
National Merit. I think I'm going to be Commended.
Most Outstanding Student in Language Other Than English: IDK. I know! Apparently the Foreign Language department voted to hand me this award. :]

I also don't know where this goes, but I have some faciliated route to a UC based on my ranking and grades. I'm guaranteed a spot at a UC, BUT to which one depends on me. :]

EDITEDIT (for like, the third time! AHAHAHA.): OH YEAH, I'm in NHS. But srsly, everyone's in NHS... it's such a b-ll**** club at my school. xD;

THE COLLEGES! Ohh yeah. The good stuff. :]

Listy!
- Rice University.
- Dartmouth College.
- University of Kansas.
- UCs: Berkeley, LA, San Diego, Davis. (UGH. I'm doing this because my parents are all like, "Take advantage of living in California! Lololol." Yeah. Whatever. I'm not in love with the UCs)
- Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
- Pomona College.

Anywhoos. That's it. :] Thank you in advance!

i know what you mean about the UCs! My parents want me to go to Davis, or UOP or something like that. Ok, now about your resume....to me it looks pretty solid, but I don't know about the colleges except that you'll definitely get into Davis, people i know have had 3.6s and few ECs and gotten in.

I have a friend (who's older than me by a year) going to one of the better UCs (forget which one.) Anyhow, his family lived in California. Waring though, his grades in school were better then mine (higher than 4.0) and he didn't get much in scholarships. 35 grand a year he told me!

He likes the place he's going to he says though. You'll get in to all the other places on your list probably although I wouldn't know for sure about anything other than UCs.

@ Caligurl: I know. What's up with that? My parents are all like "OOOHHHH UCs! TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT!" And I'm like "Uhhh... how do I break it to you gently? I'm not interested in a UC?" xD;

I feel bad about it, too. Because there are SO many people who want to go to a UC, and I'm like... "I don't want to go."

@ Leonid: They're expensive. Ish. I think the most expensive is probably San Diego... so I'm guessing that's probably where he went. I expect a lot in financial aid, because yeahhh... my parents don't make that much money. It's enough so that I'm comfy, but it's still under 100k. Waaay under...

Berkeley/UCLA: match
UCSD: safety
RPI: safe match - safety

Good shot at Pomona, Dartmouth, and Rice. Dunno about Kansas.

Berkeley/UCLA: match
UCSD: safety
RPI: safety

Your school has the exact same classes as my school O_O;. How strange.

Anyways, kyledavid and naderboy have your chances right on.

@ Kyle and Nader: Thanks guys. :]

@ Castel: Really? Wow, that is really odd...

From what I know,

RPI: safe- you will get in
Dartmouth: a reach for anyone, but you have a decent shot.
Rice: Accepted.
UCLA, B: Accepted.

You have a great resume, and a very good, balanced list of colleges.

@ Moonlight: Thanks! x3;
