Should be.

yea…

still says under review…

same … cant wait any more …

Still not flipped, hope they dont just flip us all Under Reviews to denied, or waitlist, but that is the feeling I get.

Same feeling here … I have a very strong intuition that thats what is going to happen…

Bigbarney, I have that same feeling but I didn’t want to be the one to say it? Why would they flip the remainder of the decisions all at one time. I am thinking waitlisted because I heard that they mailed more rejections last week. I think we would have received a rejection by now if we were getting one.

My best friend got into GT on 5th March, I have better stats. This is ********. I think i will be rejected or waitlisted.

Maybe we shouldnt jump to conclusions and assume the worst. Everything will work out for the best.

Baysian Statistical Inference on the acceptance rate.

Let’s say that you want to matriculate 2000 students next semester, and you know the acceptance rate is about 50% overall and 10% in the first week. You could admit 4000 students and hope things work out, or you could admit 3500 students, check the stats in after the first week, then admit additional students as necessary. If 8% accept in the first week, take that as a signal that acceptances will be low, and admit 4200 students. If it’s 12%, admit 3800 students.

More formally, you have a conjugate prior based on historical acceptances, which you can update based on early signals, first from early decision candidates then from regular decision candidates. The posterior distribution that can be used in the newsboy calculation to determine the optimal admit number.

The alternative is a wait-list, which doesn’t work too well for public schools, where most students are also admitted to comparable schools and usually have to accept by April.

I just called again and they said all decisions will be posted by 12 noon. They are in the process of flipping the status. And no one will recieve any e-mail. So I guess 3 more hours of waiting.

From the BLOG

Answers:
what does “file complete; Under review” mean?
It means that a final decision has not been made on your file. Your file is complete, but under review.

Does that mean that my status has not been posted yet or what?
Yes. Your decision has not been posted yet.

do i need to be worried?
No. Your decision will post.

Do you know what time the admission statuses will be updated?
Once a day, usually after 3pm.

The beat goes on…

You guys… I’m glad I applied to my undergrad in the good ol’ days before computerized systems. I was nervous for just 10 minutes a day (the walk home from school to check the mail).

By 12 noon? This wait is killing me! I haven’t been able to focus in class at all! Hopefully we all recieve some good news today.

Yep, just saw waitlisted, odd since credentials (on paper) are equal to better than most admits

Same here. Waitlisted. Well at least the wait is over.

I found out I was Denied Admission =[

D-Nied!!!
