Recs: Fairly good as well.

Male/White/Colorado/Low Income/Episcopalian Christian/Homosexual/Italian and Lithuanian heritage

Hey, anything that helps.

Thanks tons!!

Reaches: NYU, Oberlin, Pomona, UPenn, Colorado College (unless they give preference to in-state students...)

The rest are matches/safeties.

The Italian and Lithuanian heritage/Episcopalian stuff no college will care about.

Your score are a big problem. Especially for schools that don't count writing.

Upenn and pomona definitely aren't gonna happen.

Your school seems noncompetitive, or you're just not good at taking tests.

In response to your statement, it's both.

My school's non-competitive and I am bad at taking tests.

That's why I didn't even post my ACT scores.

Also, does anyone known which schools DO/DON'T count the SAT Writing, my only noteworthy accomplishment in the unnecessary world of standarized testing?

Not many schools consider writing. As far as NYU, they say they look at it but really it does not influence their decision much. I feel your pain with the writing - I got an 800 too and almost nowhere considered it. I got into NYU ED with a 660 on math and 680 on cr with just a little higher weighted GPA, so if you can pull your scores up to around that, I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in too! =)

Yeah...I think most schools use the Math and Critical Reading more than the Writing to judge one's capacity to work in college. It probably has to do with the fact that the Writing section is fairly new still, and colleges don't want to factor them in heavily until they have some decent statistics. Also, the Writing section is a bit subjective regarding the essay. Some people just don't do well on the essay though they write fairly skillfully.

you tricked me into this thread -_-
