It's course selection time again! The timetables are up - what are you taking? Any suggestions? I'm going into senior year, and the only thing on my plate is senior thesis/design, so I'd love to hear suggestions!

theyre up? collegepr0wler yeah.

senior year here i come

time to take all the crap i didn't take earlier as a result of being a transfer

nooooooooooooo

yeah senior year! no thursday / friday classes... at least it's looking that way for now

as a sophomore I'm taking your normal load, but finally no friday classes :)

Freshman take friday classes?

usually yes

How many courses are you guys gonna take? I did 4 this whole year (freshman) mostly because I felt lazy and told myself I was doing it to give myself time to adjust lol.

Probably six, depending on how the rest of this semester goes.

I'm going to have accounting recitation on Friday. :(

damn...I think I'll try to stick with 5.

For now, I think I'm going to take CIS 334, CIS 520 or 535, MKTG 101 and 2 other courses, maybe OPIM 469 and EAS 445

I would recommend any course taught by Benjamin Pierce or Max Mintz.

what courses is everyone else taking?

I've heard great things about Max Mintz.

I've been putting off some requirements that I need to get around to next semester - Econ 50, for example. I also have a strong desire to learn another language and might see if I can test into Spanish 140 or 202 after a few weeks of some self-study (I already know Italian so this is very do-able).

UPDATE: sacra merda, I'm graduating in 2 semesters. :(

eas 445 is amazing, definitely take it.

i have be 402, be 483, be 497, and fnar 274 on the list right now...

chocoman: Have you studied spanish before? Because I don't really think you can get that advanced with just a few weeks of studying just because you know italian. Sure, italian will help, but its not that similar (I'm a native spanish speaker, and a few of my friends speak both). But in any case, good luck with that, hope it works out. Spanish is a great language, I'm glad to hear you want to learn it.

I think I'm taking: German 103, math 240, math 202, econ 102, and some random class to fulfill requirements ( any recommendations?)

I'm looking at CIS 330, CIS 391 (maybe 520, does anyone know if 521 will be offered?), CIS 477, CIS 400, CIS 381 (I'll end up choosing only 3.5 out of these). Also one econ, maybe game theory or ECON 681 if I feel brave, plus one some other easy subject.

megaman, de d

I'm doing spanish 140, econ 101, math 240, cis 110, and ancient history 26. i feel like i should up it to cis 120, but it's been 2 years since i've programmed.

Rudess: De costa rica. Usted?

Venkat89: I'm taking econ 101 right now. If you can, try to avoid kircher. He's a nice dude, but his "quizzes" (which are actually 20% each, hence the quotation marks), are pretty long for the time he gives. And he also tends to get pretty confused during his own lectures ( more often during the first few weeks, not as much lately). But yeah, just wanted to give you a heads up there.

I think I'm gonna end up with ACCT 102, FNCE 100, STAT 102/431, MGMT 101, MKTG 101, and FREN 202. Maybe MATH 170 for kicks.

Any recommendations for Roberts vs. Mackinlay vs. honors section for fnce 100?
