It's time for some good ol' ED II waiting

Did everyone here get that letter from Emory saying restating that applications from other schools must be withdrawn under the terms of early decision? Is this a hint to acceptance or did they send it out to everyone? FIVE DAYS! I’m so nervous.

When did you get the letter?

I got it yesterday (February 9, 2012). I live in New York if that means anything.

No letter here in Tennessee. well now I’m convinced that means I’m not getting in lol.

I didn’t get a letter either… I’m in Texas.

there was a freakin letter? I didn’t get one here in north carolina.

I’m so sorry for worrying anyone. Is it appropriate to scan the letter? It basically says “Once you have received notification of your acceptance, you will be asked to send a $475 deposit…after sending your deposit and response card, you must withdraw all other college applications you have filed.”

The letter is dated February 3, 2012.

I got that letter in January.

ooooooooo that letter! haha. I got that too in january (it was dated january 13th)

I got the letter in January AND February. Maybe I’m just reading too much into it. I guess we’ll known in four days…

why is this thread so dead!!!

I’m surprised there aren’t more people commenting. The UVA Early Action thread had like 200 posts lol

Also, is FAFSA showing up as completed in anyone’s OPUS? Mine still says “initiated” when I submitted it will file on Jan 8/processed Jan 9, updated to “completed” on the 28th, and linked it to the IRS site on the 3rd.

I’m sure that there are tons of people that stalk this thread, but are too afraid to post…because that was me. Or perhaps just us applied ED to Emory and we’ll all get in!

got the letter too…dated Jan 27. I’m from Cali. I think the letter actually may mean something since it seems only some of the ed2 applicants have received them

^ I think we all just thought they meant a different letter. I’ve gotten that one too, earlier in January.

Lizzie, I contacted Emory about FAFSA and the officer told me that it is not updated in OPUS til mid-February.

Ok…I’ve gotten the one letter in January. Did everyone else get TWO?

no, i think we’re looking too much into it.

yep…that’s what people do when they are anticipating a decision and can do nothing but wait!
