I have no convincing reason to rant in this thread, save some periods of excruciating boredom; hence my participation here is highly inappropriate.

Now we have one more Vietnamese here.
_pooka:I hope she just noticed me and my classmates to learn by heart all the lessons carefully;getting a 10 in Literature is almost incredible, you know.By the way,my school has uniform:long shirt and long pants even for the hottest days of summer.
tbhnams:thank you for offering your help,by what means should he contact you?
ipsen1985:see you again, then :);I guess this thread will be crowded 3 months later.:D

@HiLine: I thought if u guys study like uni students, u also dress like them i.e. freely.
I hope it gets more busy in here after the school year starts. I won't have so much time to visit this thread often.

Ha ha ha,I actually got 10 on the Literature test, could you believe that?Anyway,my teacher did not require her students to retake the test immediately, hahaha.
Oh well, there are some significant differences between my high school's and the HUS's policies.

I am so glad to find a Vnese thread here. I'm applying to US colleges this year, and look forward to meeting other like-minded students from Vietnam herein too.

As an international student, I am interested mostly in liberal arts colleges and some Ivy schools. My stats:
-SATI: 2270/2400 (CR 740, M 780, W 750) (the result just came out!!!)
-SATII (MathIIC, Physics, Chemistry) will take next week
-TOEFL: 285/300 (CBT)
-volunteer work at school, two summer jobs

hic...i'm struggling with essays right now...I finished 8 essays, but three or four more to go...my dream schools are Pton, Harvard, Yale, Amherst, Williams. I know it's really hard, but worth a try, right? Do you have any recommendation?

It's great to see that there are still people visiting this thread :D
ilovevietnam,I would say that your SAT score is outstading in comparison with other Vietnamese student,is that why you want to apply to those elite schools? :)
For now there is just one week till the November SAT date, you had better spend time preparing for the SAT II if you are not totally confident yet ;)
By the way, where you are now and how did you prepare for the SAT? :D

Hi ilovevietnam,
All your dream schools are on the east coast. In general, pretty good chance for most schools listed. What is your intended major?

Hi HiLine & lhvietlong,
I hope you guys don't mind that I join this thread. I went to high school, undergrad, and medical school here in the US. Just want to keep this thread alive!
