IU Bloomington Early Action for Fall 2022 Admission

They just show up in the Admission Application Status Tab in the One IU portal.

No email notification. Just keep checking the portal under application status tab

good luck!

Anyone else’s portal set up information take awhile? S applied on Nov 1. Received an email on Nov 5th saying thanks for applying but as of today (11/10) still no info on setting up his portal.

My daughter had to petition to Kelley because of her lower SAT score. However, a friend’s daughter who did not need to petition (Kelley direct admit criteria met) has the exact same admission notation in her portal as my daughter. So, as long as you met the criteria, you should be fine.

Thank you for that helpful information Njmom3G

Same here. Applied 10/31 and still no info on setting up portal.

Okay thanks. That makes me feel better.

Of all the schools my daughter applied to, IU was by far the slowest sending out the portal info. I think it was 10 days from common app submission until she got the email with the portal info. Most schools were next day. Acceptance email came pretty quickly though
now just waiting for Kelley email.

DD’s application was complete on 10/21. 3.89 W, 3.7UW, no test scores. Starting to get worried.

same, I applied oct. 31st and Nov. 5th I got that same email saying they got my application and within a week I should get the portal email but I still did not get it.

Well, today is only the 10th so I guess it hasn’t been a full week yet.

yeah true but plenty of other kids got their portal login within a few days of submission so im just confused on why some of us have to suffer

Check your spam folder.

DS applied Oct 31 and doesn’t have a portal login. Like us, are you wanting the University ID so you can petition to Kelley? DS hasn’t written his significant accomplishment essay so it will be a bit longer wait to petition.

yeah I want to submit petition to be safe. My uw is 3.75 and weighted is 4.02 while my sat is 1410 and eveyrone told me I would be a direct admit but I still want to be careful. Also you could actually get the prompt from the website and write it ahead of time so that when you do get the portal login, you can submit it immediatley. You can find it on the page where they tell you how to petition and the prompt is under one of the petition steps.

yeah there is nothing in there

Yes, it looks like it’s better to petition than to assume.

From the IU site, “If you aren’t 100% sure you meet the direct admission criteria we recommend you petition. The petition takes 10 minutes to complete. If your GPA and test scores end up meeting the automatic direct admission criteria, your petition is simply deleted from our system. If they do not meet the auto criteria, then you already have a petition submitted and nothing else to worry about.”

We know the “most significant achievement in the past three years” prompt but he hasn’t written it.

Yeah exactly, anyways good luck with your admissions decision

I got an email from Admissions reminding us to fill out FAFSA. I assume all students who applied got this regardless of whether or not they’ve been admitted??

Same. The IU portal tells her she’s accepted and that an email will come within a week.

She applied on 10/28/21. OOS 3.99 unWeighted. Class rank 1.
