I'm applying to Bloomington today and I play to study business. I've been told to first apply to the university in general and then transfer my second year to the business school. My question is.... when I apply and it asks me to state a major what should I choose? Exploratory - All Undergraduate Degrees or Respiratory - Bachelor or Respiratory Therapy Bachelors? Anyone??? PLEASE HELP ME!

Apply as a Business major.

It matters NOT. This is a rolling admission state school and unless you are applying to a specific program they don't care what your major is.

Respiratory?? and business??? what are you talking about???

I'm also thinking about applying to IU. hazmat can you further explain why the major doesn't matter? Does an impacted major like business affect your chance of admissions?

Are you applying to the Kelley School of Business? I'd think you would want to do that. http://www.kelley.indiana.edu/

You would pick a major within the Kelley School and otherwise you would apply to The College and most students change majors several times. Impacted departments at a state school in my opinion mean that you didn't apply early enough in rolling admissions and the department openings are closed. No more students are taken into a deparment once the program is full. This frequently occurs in engineering/computer specialties.

Kelly also has a direct admit program for students with a 1270 SAT and top 10% rank

So would applying as a Business major have any bearing on your chances for admissions (assuming that you aren't going into Kelly direct admit)?
