IU Bloomington vs. Purdue in accounting

I’m interested in accounting. I got accepted into both IU Bloomington and Purdue. I’m torn between these two. I think IU Bloomington is more focused on the international aspect of business and definitely has a better ranking in business, but are there benefits to Purdue’s business school that aren’t obvious? Thank you!

While I can’t speak about Purdue’s program as I am not a student there, I can say that Kelley’s business school is extremely well-rounded. While IU’s international programs as a whole are often in the spotlight, that is mainly due to the fact that they are very strong compared to other universities. The main aspect of Kelley that is head and shoulders above many other schools is our career services which is consistently ranked among the best in the country. Kelley really makes you into a professional in addition to providing you with the technical skills that most other universities also provide. I hope this helps, and let me know if you have any other questions about Kelley or IU!

Not even close. IU Kelley is extremely strong in accounting. Academics and career placement among the best in the country.

Both schools are great, but I would go with IU unless Purdue is significantly cheaper or you have another reason you didn’t mention. IU’s business school is a little better, so there would have to be some other reason to go to Purdue for me.

Oh yeah, the thing is, Kelley is all-around much better than Krannert. Not only do the students think so, but the employers too.
