IU Fall vs USC Spring - Computer Science

I'm an international student...I applied for MS in CS

As I finished receiving the final acceptance and rejection letters from all my colleges there are two that stick out for me and I am having a hard time deciding what to do.

I was admitted into Indiana University Bloomington as a direct admit to their School of Informatics and Computing.

I have also recently been accepted into USC Viterbi for the Spring Semester...not ideal but I really like USC and I love our California weather!!

I'm interested in Game Development which is the best at USC.
Also finance is NOT a MAJOR factor but it is definitely one of many!

PLEASE HELP ME!!! Don't know what to do/need help figuring things out!

For a run-of-the-mill CS degree, I’d say it doesn’t matter whether you go to Indiana or USC. But if you really want to do games, it’s worth sitting out a semester to get into USC’s program.

I did go to USC, so I may have an inherent bias. (Although my sister got her BS at Indiana, and I have an IU sweatshirt that I wear a lot.)

Thanks a lot!
But doesn’t USC promise better internships and job opportunities? And will it affect my chances of getting a good one if I start my program in spring?

Btw I got an email from USC saying they may admit me in Fall itself…!
If I get in then USC it is! If not then I’ll still be #confused! fingers crossed

USC is more well known for computer science than Indiana. But for grad school you really want to focus on the specific program. Since the USC program is also a better fit for you, I’d say it’s definitely worth waiting until spring.
