I am a senior in high school. I am an international student residing in US and I am from a non-English speaking household. My current US accomplishments include: I am currently ranked one in my senior class. I am enrolled in IB diploma program, and my current unweighted GPA is a 4.0.I am the vice-president of the entire student council and Key Club. I earned a 28 in my ACT. I feel it is important to note that I achieved a 30 in Math and 31 in reading, 28 in science and 29 in writing. The average of my score is 29.50, and ACT would round it to 30 for the four subjects. However, then came the daunting English portion of the ACT on which I scored 24 which unfortunately brought my cumulative score down. I am a non-native English speaker, and ACT English sections more of a practiced language section than analytical thinking. English is usually mastered through years of practice speaking and listening constantly. This proves difficult for a person coming from a non-English speaking household as I do.
I got accepted to IU recently and because I scored a 28 I cannot get a direct admission. Therefore, I filed a petition to Kelly as I have a 4.0 GPA. Will I get accepted to Kelley direct admit?
