Can anyone tell me my admission chance for IU Kelley DA through petition with a 1200 sat score and a high GPA (3.9 UW / 4.5 W)? Do you think going test optional would be better in this case (I am the class of 2022)? I have pretty good ECs and my GPA is good but I know Kelley does not look EC’s. Also, out of state!!
You’d have a decent chance of getting in if you don’t submit the test score.
Yes - test optional would be better. Just remember that since you are test optional, you will have to submit a petition for admission to Kelley.
Thank you so much for replying! What do you think about the test optional situation for IU Kelley demographic wise? I am an Asian female that is out of state and from a good economic standpoint… do you think that they would not like that I didn’t submit an ACT/SAT score just because they would expect one due to my demographics?
I doubt demographics play a role in the petition process at all.
Hello everybody, I am currently a senior in high school and I need help deciding whether I should send my test scores this year. I got a 1250 on the SAT and I am really struggling to decide whether I should sumbit it or not. I have a Strong GPA (3.95 UW, I don’t know my Weighted but I took 5 APS and 18 honors throughout all grads) and I’m not sure if that would be enough to get me in. On this thread I read that a certain couple kids got admitted with similar scores as mine, but most part everyone was 1300+. I don’t know if last year was particularly easier to get in for any reason either, so I don’t want hurt any of my chances this year. Please leave your suggestions below.
Hi! I have to petition for Kelley’s school of business because I do not meet the required SAT score. However, I received spinal fusion surgery whilst the SAT exams were being taken so it was difficult to study and make time for the SAT. I received a score of 1300, and I have a 4.267 weighted GPA. I have passed 6 AP exams (even receiving a 5 on my physics 1 exam). I am also a part of the International Baccalaureate program and attend the #1 most challenging Highschool in the United States according to Jay Matthews Index. Do you think I’ll get in? I believe I will but I feel like my SAT score really dragged me down.
