IU Kelley Petition Tracker 2023

Hmm, when i call Kelley I always get someone on the phone. Are you all trying to get an admissions counselor. The women i spoke with today said she didn’t even know how many are on the waitlist so she couldn’t confirm 50.

Ok thanks. I saw that one. Just want sure if there was another update.

Does anyone know if transfer classes (ie takig summer course this summer) and IFS credit applies to the 30 credit hours needed?

We were told at the dinner event in our area that summer community college courses count.

Did you call Kelley direct or the overall admissions department? I called Kelley last week to get my son added to the direct admit day tour at the last minute and they picked up the phone on the 2nd ring and were very helpful.

My son was admitted from the waitlist to Kelley today! He visited Ohio State and loved Fisher last week. Oh boy! Two great choices. Now we are flying to Indiana next week! Any tips or suggestions???

We are OOS, from NT. He’s also on the waitlist at Michigan!

DS has a direct admit to Fisher with a large scholarship but not a direct admit to Kelley. Also loving Boulder Leeds and likes some others (MSU Broad, Northeastern D’Amore McKim). Has a good instate (CA) option as well. But we are definitely impressed with Kelley. Does anyone have an opinion on this situation? I’m grasping at straws to figure out if this non-direct admit situation is worth it and still dealing with this secondary admit situation.

Your son has some terrific options! It depends on what he is looking for in terms of environment. I would say Northeastern is the toughest to get accepted to of his options. My son also got into Kelley, Fisher and Leeds, as well as a good in state option. I think he is leaning Kelley, but that Ohio State football is definitely a big draw if your kid loves sports like mine does. Fisher is also ranked pretty well for business. Good luck in your decisions!

He is loving Deion Sanders at CU. Is your son a direct admit? The whole thing is getting thrown out of whack due to this non-direct admit status.

Yes my son got his app in early and was lucky to get accepted direct admit in December I believe. It really put our minds at ease getting that acceptance early on because the rest of the process has been a rollercoaster with deferrals and waitlists!

Congratulations on all! And the direct admit situation is definitely a defining criteria. If SLO (or CU Leeds) is in consideration, keep me posted pls…

Do you think they are done taking people off the waitlist then ?

My son also loved the big Ohio state football! Kelley is quite impressive! Hoping my son makes a decision after we visit Indiana!

We also just got off the Kelley waitlist and are flying in from NY tomorrow for Monday’s red carpet day. Another big10 visit! At this point Indiana is the least expensive choice. Hopefully we’re not late with dorm selections if our son decides to attend.

You’re not late at all. You have until May 1st to submit your housing deposit, and it’s not done on a first come, first served basis. As long as he completes the application by May 1st, he will have the same consideration as someone who did it in February. Good luck with the visit! My daughter commited to IU a month ago as a DA to Kelley. It’s a beautiful school and an incredible program. Best of luck!

After all of our waiting for Kelley my son has decided to attend The Fisher business school at Ohio State! We visited Indiana this week and it wasn’t the best fit for him! Good luck to everyone!

Has anyone else got off the waitlist or heard back yet?

My daughter got off the WL and was accepted as a DA via email on Friday 4/21. We were expecting a notice on 4/26. Glad it came early! Good luck to anyone still on the WL.
