IU kelley standard admission schedule

I’m going to IU next fall and I’m going to try to get into kelley through standard admission. I want to double major in apparel merchandising and a business major. Could some one give me advice/ review my schedule. Please & thank you!
I already have credits in
-w131
-m118
-x100
-p155
-and I got a 4 on my apes exam (which ever credit that is)
Semester 1 I am planning to take…
-e201 (is Graf ok?)
-r100 (fashion Merch. Class)
-psych 101

  • hyper 180 (stress prevention & management)
    -kelley compass
    -c104 (business presentations)
    Semester 2
    -A100
    -G202
    -k201
    -R204
  • and other “easy” classes
I’m mainly nervous for e201, but if I get a tutor will I be ok? Also, I’ve taken lots of accounting in high school so I hope that will also work to my advantage.
I want to avoid taking m119 if I can. Any thoughts, suggestions, advice?

Take m119 in summer at CC or online.

Do the same for e201

Since you’re an accounting veteran, substitute a201 for e201 in your schedule.

Be aware that hper 180 is more about learning how to prevent stress than helping you. The prof is also not great and assigns a lot of silly work.

Your goal is A’s in everything so protect your time.

Read other standard admit threads here and check out the Grade Distribution database. Also checkout the threads on orientation so you’re ready.

Thanks for your reply! Another question, when I take summer classes at a cc, do I have to get a B or higher? Or is that just classes I take starting my freshman year?

You only need C’s at CC for the credit to transfer. It will not count in your IU GPA but will be shown on the transcript as a “TA,TB, or TC”. Given that you can concentrate on 1 or 2 classes. I still recommend you get A’s in these classes as its not tough to focus on just 1 or 2 classes at a time.

You can not count transfer classes toward the 12 credit hours Kelley Standard Admission requirements, so be sure to take enough courses at IU from that list.

The B’s or better requirement is for IU classes taken in Bloomington Freshman year. They want to judge you based on known courses.
