It’s their niche. At one point Business Week was the “US News” of rankings - and in 1998 when I got my MBA - Kelley was ranked 6th or 7th - I ended up at ASU which was #40 because it was right for me (wasn’t going to strangle me in debt).
I’ve done fine. My general manager has no degree. My boss has an MBA from Memphis. Her counterparts graduated undergrad from Utah and the other from nowhere - or maybe a two year trade school - I never got a straight answer. These are people all making over $200K.
I have counterparts - some with online MBAs like Phoenix, a Vanderbilt, a Columbus State, an Indiana, Michigan and several with just undergrad.
And we have analysts, specialists - that are from UF, Ga Tech, West Georgia (which I hadn’t heard of), Kennesaw State (an MBA), Ogelthorpe and Clayton State (MBA).
That’s just real life. This over analysis of “which is better” doesn’t relate to 95% of the world out there (in my opinion).
Good luck.
