IU Kelley vs UIC GPPA

Im not sure which college to go to. On one hand, I’m a direct admit to IU Kelley and it’s ranked 10th in its undergraduate program. On the other hand, I got into UIC’s honors college, their business scholars program and their GPPA for accounting. What would be the better option? I was set on going to Kelley but now I found out about GPPA so I am conflicted.

If you are interested in accounting Gies at UIUC is top five or perhaps number 1. I forget.

As a future CPA analyzing the cost of each is a useful first step. They are both great.

I’m deciding between University of Illinois - Chicago, not UIUC, if that changes your thoughts

Sorry. If you are cost neutral, Kelley is really really strong. And a nice college environment. I don’t know a lot about UIC. But I am sure it is excellent too.

I wish the names weren’t so close. I always mix this one up.

Well, don’t go to UIC for their college environment, that’s for sure. It’s still mostly a commuter university, and it’s a pretty ugly campus, American Brutalism gone mad. There’s more bare concrete there than there is on the Hoover dam.

While the GPPA program is great, UIC’s business school is only so-so, so GPPA in accounting may not be as good as, say a GPPA for Urban Planning or the Medical school.

Despite having worked at UIC for a few years, and still having connections there, I think that IU Kelly is the better choice.
