Thank you for reading! I was accepted directly into the Penn State Smeal school of Business. I was also accepted to IU, but not direct admit because my GPA was 3.4 (unweighted, very prestigious private school). SAT 2050.

Would it be easy to get into the Kelley business school with enough work? I had a 770 on my math SAT if that helps at all, so doing the work shouldn't be a problem. And is the reputation of Kelley really that much greater than Smeal? Finance major most likely.

Thank you!

Did you petition to get direct admit to Kelley? Seems like you would have been accepted through petition given your 1400/1600 SAT score. Too late for petitioning now, though.

You need all Bs and above (no B-'s) in the right courses and number of credits your first year at IUB to be guaranteed admission to Kelley. In other words, one bad test day or two and you could be at risk, which is pretty stressful.

Here are the admission requirements that you must meet in order to be considered for the spring 2013 semester:

Yeah I was late on the petition, never heard of it until a few days ago (even though I visited a few months ago, never heard about it from them). I just can’t tell how easy getting B’s will be, only a IU person could say. I come from a very hard HS, so workload wouldn’t be a real surprise to me.

Thanks for the answer.
