How much money do you usually receive for the Herbert Presidential Scholarship? I was recently nominated and have received very limited information from the letter they sent me.The amount is really vague online and it sounds pretty important.

For us (DD2 started IU last fall) it was $3k a year - I think the underlying assumption is that you’ll be picking up some of the other automatic money so that’s on top of those. You also get the medal, lots of food events (there should be a scholarship night or two food event, then likely a late - just before May deadline - food at the Tudor room (seriously good food there btw), a reception and food in the beginning of the fall where you pick up your laptop, and then a reception and food every January all the current students and parents get together to welcome the new students.
Laptop wise last year it’s either a MacBook Air 13" i5 or a Dell 7270 i5 ultrabook. We chose the Dell, tho 2/3rds of the Herbert students chose Mac’s.
