Hey everyone, I just found out I got rejected by my #1 school, USC.

Anyways, down to my next two picks - help me choose? Indiana University vs. Villanova. I've visited both, love both, although I think I love Indiana more. In your opinion, is Villanova any more prestigious to make it more worth it?

Cost:
Indiana - about 21,000/year, will graduate debt-free
Villanova - about 30,000/year, will graduate about 12K in debt

I've been directly accepted to the Journalism School at IU and I'm also in the Honors program. At 'Nova, I'm plain old undecided. Distance from home (Boston, MA) isn't a problem for me.

I have a few worries about both schools. At Indiana, I'm a worried about getting a little bit too caught up in the partying and losing track of my academics. I'm also a little nervous that (I know this sounds really horrible) I'll be around a lot of "idiots" who won't share the same academic drive that I have, though maybe being in Honors will help offset that. My worries with Villanova are mainly diversity and lack of fun. As well probably all know, the name Vanillanova is fairly accurate - and when I visited, the parties were a huge pain in the ass to get to, and they seemed really exclusive. I also get the feeling that 'Nova isn't as prestigious as they market themselves to be.

The pros? Indiana seems like tons of fun, I absolutely love campus, they have amazing programs in journalism and dance (which, while it isn't my major, I definitely want to make a part of my college life), and Bloomington is super-cute. I love Villanova's proximity to Philly, campus, and the huge school spirit (Final Four baby!).

Any thoughts?

Oh, and in case you think these are bad options, my other choices are:
Clemson (33K/year)
Elon (27K-ish/year)
Loyola (32K/year)
UMass (10K/year) HATE THIS SCHOOL please don't recommend it. My parents made me apply.

Thanks to all!
