For now, IUB is one of my top choices because it is much closer to home, has interesting majors and seems like a great school. I think I will choose it over some elite LAC in the USA, but may be I am wrong (I havent visited, just read the viewbook, the website etc) so I'd like to hear more about it. Thank you.</p>
<p>They shud send u the financial package usually 2 weeks b4 the end of the deadline to submit ur enrollment deposit.</p>
<p>As a science and engineering major u have very little time to continue stuff u did all thru high school and in life. So all extra-curricular activities and sports go out.</p>

<p>dont pay much heed to all the careful criticism mjehan gives to you . Its nothing of this sort and a lot more balanced . I personally find it amazing and am involved in a lot of things beyond my academics, usual stuff , regular work , etc. Not to mention i have a job on campus too. </p>

<p>as of the course standard and quality, be rest assured that IUB ( Jacobs ) course quality is very good and can be quite rigorous at time. This ofcourse would mean a careful bit of time management and serious dedication. Once that is setup , its all in a flow of things. </p>
<p>The financial decision is independent of the admission decision and is processed separately. As mjehan said you will recieve your financial aid package within 2 weeks of your admision decision. As of enrollment deadline well i got the letter atleast 1 month before the enrollment deadline and that was the case with most of us. </p>

<p>Hey!!! I was just accepted to IUB and am so excited!!!! :D I got a 7500 euro merit aid; does this mean that I'll have some need based aid too ( without it I won't be able to attend and I wont bare it for the%2</p>

<p>I am also admitted with 7500 Scholarship (from waleed's experience it's better to get admitted without scholarship :)), but I am not sure if I'll go. NUS looks tempting before Jacobs.</p>
<p>Na, I haven't submitted my fin aid application yet. The thing is that scholarship replaces grant and not loan. They would still award be loan totaling around 21k EUR, which is a big turn off. </p>
<p>I don't think NUS results are out yet, but NUS seems better option (plus it's almost guaranteed admission if you are in A levels:)).</p>
<p>yes, u do get need based aid .. but if ur need exceeds scholarship, scholarships are pretty much useless. So dont get too excited :) (I got 10k and it didnt help reduce my loan at all).</p>
