IUP vs. Penn State Altoona

I'm on the fence between which of these two schools to go to. I plan on majoring in biology/pre-med. Any help on what each college is like education, student life, etc. wise?

Altoona is off to the edge of the town and there is not too much to do. However, if you or a friend have a car, it is not hard to get to State College. Also, you are guaranteed the right to transfer to State College after 2 years if you wish. The campus is nice, but some of the off-campus housing may not be.

I haven’t been to Indiana, but I understand it is a really nice campus. They have replaced much of their student housing. Tuition is cheaper than Altoona. Some people complain about too much partying. You have more students in one place, so there should be more things to do.

From Indiana, you really need to drive to Pittsburgh to find non-student things to do.

If you have the stats, Cook Honors at IUP offers great perks.
