I'm waitlisted at Rice, Carnegie Mellon, Washu, and now UChicago. Any chance of getting into Northwestern? Will I be waitlisted as well? I'm thinking there is something wrong with my application because I've been waitlisted to pretty much everywhere I applied. Am I still competitive?

Depends on your stats; if you aimed too high or not. All the schools you applied to are competitive and not that easy to get in ..

But don't worry. Everything will turn out fine, always. He who laughs last, laughs best. (:

for a second there when i read your title, i thought decisions had already come out. whew. close one.

^Same lol

OP, I think you got a chance though. If you're waitlisted, sometimes that means you're qualified to attend, that the school thinks you're not going to go there (hence.. waitlist, cause you're too good to be rejected.)

This can only raise your competitiveness.

Tell us more about your app. It's hard enough to speculate with stats, what more without them.

PS: you've probably given a couple of people out there a heart attack with your thread title.

Agreed with the heart attack.

Haha, worst heart attack ever.

you are waitlisted by so many colleges, the chance is that you will be accepted by one of them eventually.
