I've decided to let it go

God smote the servers!

quilde's right...God really told us.

This is why I don't like atheists. They only want to prove other religions wrong. Just keep your beliefs to yourself and those who are close to you. Don't waste time arguing over an internet forum and think that what you say has any meaning for others.

Thank you, vankater. The sarcasm is a bit over the top and very ignorant; you're displaying your lack of tolerance and your complete misunderstanding of religion. you have to resort to petty insults and jokes that poke fun at other people's equally important beliefs.

"This is why I don't like atheists." "you're displaying your lack of tolerance"

I have no tolerance for intolerance. I satirize and disapprove of your religion because it has systemically persecuted and exterminated people whom are similar to the likes of me and other members on this board. I also find the occasional joke at the expense of religion to be more permissible, than the trite prospect of my burning in hell, which "pious" people belonging to your religion often threaten me with.

Believe in Legendofmaxism and all your troubles will VANISH! Poof!

Hinduism has hurt noone and neither has ledgendofmaxism. Atheism is hurting American beliefs and foundations because they want to erase religion from the public sphere. I am not Christian, so I do not agree with all of the beliefs that they preach. However, I think America will be worse off if we get rid of religion completely.

Venkater. For. The. Last. Time.

Please qualify your "all atheists suck" statements. I am so sick of having to address them. I am an atheist. I have repeatedly said I have absolutely no problem with other religions. I do not want to destroy all other religions. What the **** is your problem.

Venkater. For. The. Last. Time.

Religion should not be in the public realm. It is an entirely personal matter and should not be imposed upon others "Just keep your beliefs to yourself". Convening at a church is absolutely fine; however, forcing your beliefs upon others in public is an entirely different matter. If religion wasn't so ubiquitous, people would be more inclined to think for themselves and determine their own paths (whether it be religion, atheism, etc.). Ostensibly, some don't even have a choice concerning which religion they follow, as their parents have imposed it upon them since birth. It interferes with politics and public policy to the detriment of society. Unfortunately, there are many ignorant religious people who are swayed by pious leaders who are masquerading under the principle of faith. They exploit the ignorance of the populace and are able to wield unprecedented amounts of power, as a result. Public religion affords leaders, such as George W. Bush, more executive power than they should ever have.

"Atheism is hurting American beliefs and foundations"

Anymore so than Christianity has?

"erase religion from the public sphere"

Again, you are generalizing. You assume that the goal of atheism is to destroy religion. I am not an atheist (well sort of), but I inherently know that it is not their intention to do so. Atheists are merely courageous individuals whom are willing to admit they don't believe in god despite the overwhelming majority who disapprove and sometimes resort to unnecessary force.

Venkater just don't even speak. Seriously, you're being completely intolerant of atheism, as are all religious people. You seem to think that just because you're in the majority that your hatred of us is all right. How about you grow up and realize you're doing the exact same thing; perhaps if YOU were more tolerant, WE would be more tolerant.

I agree with quilde. I like how we can't insult religion when countless times throughout this thread we have been told that we're going to hell over serial killers because we don't believe. Religious arrogance is the worst kind of arrogance. Just go away.

Yes, very warped indeed JyankeesSS2.

Irrelevant question: Aren't all of you supposed to be in school?

early dismissal due to Finals (at least for some)

I take 2 college courses at a local university, so I get out of school at 10:45. The college courses are finished for the semester as of Monday...so...pretty sweet for me :)

Fortunate bugger :).

I am quite fortunate...but only for now; I will--after all--burn in hell for eternity, while Hitler sips his tea on his throne next to God.

"Hitler sips his tea"

That is blasphemous to a British person.

Edited: Hitler devours his wiener schnitzel.

i am a christian myself and i learned that message since 2 years ago, i nver think it will be hat serious in life which now today i am actually experiencing it.
i always tried not to get nervous but some how people around you stuff like that just make me even more nervous. that's right i know that God really has a plan on me i know it will be great, but still i really hope to get in to a school i really wanted to go to, no matter how's the result .....i trust in HIM!!

Goddamn it. Let this thread die.

On a related note, anyone read Nietzsche?
