i've done nothing significant this summer !! will it hurt chances ?

<p>after attempts to find a job fell through, and other options were left ignored due to my determination to get that job (BIG mistake!), i'm left having done NOTHING this entire summer!
i mean, i've done some small things...little bits of volunteering and working for my dad..but nothing much, no camps, no internships, no job D:</p>

<p>will this affect my chances at getting into college??</p>

<p>I am kind of in the same boat as you…but you probably did something that’s useful to yourself…just say what you did and say it in a way that sounds like a summer activity . :P</p>
