<p>When did you send your application in? What were your stats cause I had a 1200 with a 3.6 and got accepted after being deferred. They said I would not receive a decision until March, but I guess they got to my application early.</p>

<p>Here are my stats. I am getting a recommendation from my manager at Borders Bookstore, which is my part-time job. I'm going to send that recommendation to admission department to introduce myself.</p>

<p>Well, out stats seem reasonably the same and I have not been admitted or deferred yet. My app was completed Nov. 24 too. </p>
<p>Your classes trump mine, my GPA and rank are slightly better, same ACT, I might have an edge in ECs.</p>
<p>I know none of this matters to you, but with your "story" (and I say that in compassion as to whatever difficulties you have overcome), and average stats seem like someone who would get in on second review, IMHO. </p>
