I've had it with this nonsense

No, I'm not gonna continue to miss out on everything because my school is so inefficient. This summer I'm gonna do AoPS, Halliday, Atkins, and Campbell's until I can only see numbers and diagrams.

Who else is going to join me on my quest for All-USA status?

Probably not too many people, but oh well. Olympiads FTMFW.

I hear ya', brotha'. I shall join you on your quest. USPhO, USAMO, USNCO, USACO, and USABO FTW. :D

Oh ****...I forgot about USACO...

I would... but my school doesn't 'offer' any olympiads except Chemistry... and you can only compete in the USNCO if you're currently in AP Chem.

My school does not offer any of the above or the AMC. My counselors don't even know what those are.

yeah, pathetic schools FTMFL

IWSYNQBATAAMMBR.

I would support your noble quest, but all the acronyms are making my brain reel.

Somebody needs to get a life.

Yeah. Try not to be a complete recluse, piccolo - colleges like prospective students to be capable of human interaction, too - and you can't turn humans into numbers and diagrams.

^ yay for princeton! a future welcome to New Jersey.

LOL oh boy...taking things out of proportion are we? Another uptight serious idiot or two...oh well.

BTW 1of42 this should have probably gone in with the PM but I don't have counter strike and I haven't played videogames since metal gear online's server got shut down :(

It was simply there for comparison.

My county has like 12 schools nationally ranked in the top and they've never heard of these things. Honestly, neither have I, until I came to this website. But good luck anyways.

I was alluding more to my disappointment with the discontinuation of MGO, but ok...

yeah, i'm going to have fun during summer, rather than being a csw sucking up to colleges

LOL even if I were serious in studying that stuff 10+ hours a day (as I had implied), no college would see my success in the olympiads anyway.

since i, like most people(not people on this forum), don't even know what "olympiads" are or what purpose they serve, no i didn't know that it would not be something you would put on your transcript.

I asked my teachers about "olympiads" and they just gave me the "Are you going delirious again?" stare...

What books are good for studying for the USNCO?

And I'm going to try that, USACO, and the USAMO again next year. USABO and USAPhO would just be too much. And it's not as if I'm actually good at this stuff anyways.
