I've made mistakes... still making them.

I would like to say, my whole time in high school was a mess, I'm a senior. My grades are so low, I have a 1.3 GPA (68 in numerical, possibly D), I won't say I'm doing better in school as time passes, all I'm doing is just doing enough work just to pass my class, I'm lazy. I do worry about my grades, however I'm not doing anything about it. I know at least one of you guys will say "This guy is effin' retarded". Yes, you're absolutely right, I am retarded, all those years I could have gotten above a 3.0 gpa, I didn't, I took the wrong path. I do want to change my habits, I tell myself I want to, I don't. However, I must, I'm almost going to college, just another 3/4 of a year.

I want to go to college. I'm just afraid that due to my low GPA, colleges will just reject me. I haven't taken my SATs either, I will soon. Any comments or advice? All comments including negative ones are appreciated.

Hey, it is entirely within your ability to be successful in the outside world regardless of your performance in high school. It depends on your self education and personal development, however.

If you want to go to college, JC is your only option right now. But if you perform there, you could easily transfer.

Good luck!

I agree with Ractogon, even if you get a perfect 4.0 this year, I think your gpa will only go up by .4 points.

Community college is your only option, and as Ractogon said, you can transfer to a university later on. The only question is whether or not you will get a well enough GPA in CC. Your highschool habits will most likely carry on into college; you have to make a drastic change in your academic life if you want a good college GPA to be able to transfer into a university.
