I've never been so dissapointed

she's using a diffrent currency lepildoughnuts4, she's in asia.

UGHHHHH waitlisting shoild be ILLEGAL!!

totally! :D :(

ohhhhhh.....
haha i'm slow. :D

Dazzle, I sent you a PM.

i dont know if got FA to the school i was accepted to! i hope i did!

@leapindoughnuts4; yeah. It's not that expensive in my country.

Dazzlezz, I am in the same situation as you and I feel miserable right now. Being considered a international student, I was accepted BUT WAITLISTED FOR THE FA in NMH! This literally means that I won't be going there next year unless some miracle happens. If my family was richer, of course I could just walk over there but that is not the reality. I feel true remorse to your situation because I am same situation. But you shouldn't be dissappointed in yourself, rather proudly putting your head up and hoping for the best way in your life.

I PM'ed you. And I'm so sorry. Just try to think that everything happens for a reason. This thought is the only thing that is helping me get over the rejection from exeter.

i would seriously rather just be waitlisted than REJECTED. it's just...the END. ugh. i seriously visioned myself there...sdhafqiwuoyegvf

For you guys and young ladies lamenting being left out due to lack of FA.... Sometimes that hurts you, other times it helps you. We are in the middle, plenty of income, not much EXTRA income, but they think we should be able to contribute more so people like us can send our S..You are learning early that $$$ moves mountains, even in education. These schools were built by people who pay the full bill, not people like us who need help. Sometimes we get in, often not. They DO want minorities and others who diversify the student body. If you didn't get in or didn't get FA to go, don't give up. If you have something to offer AND they have space, you will eventually go IMHO. Never accept no as the final answer. Good luck!

We are in the middle, plenty of income, not much EXTRA income, but they think we should be able to contribute more so people like us can send our S..

Bingo.

exact same thing here. we needed an almost full ride, so i'm waitlisted

scrocks - I'm an international applicant too, needing almost full FA. I already knew from the start that my chances was slim, although that didn't stop me from hoping! Well, I was waitlisted at 4 schools, accepted at 2 one of which placed me on the FA waitlist. It sucks not having money, but at least we tried right? And now we know that we could've been accepted if FA need was out of the picture. I don't know if this will make you feel better, but I'm kinda happy right now because I know that the only thing keeping me out was money, meaning I'm not so bad after all. ;)

awwwww, shucks.
I love you guys too!

Cate-intl, I completely agree with your point. We shouldn't give up now but rather keep knocking for opportunities and showing our best interest to schools. As someone said before, "never take no as an answer"

I COMPLETELY AGREE... i have a lot of friends who got accepted to taft... they were the rich kids... and my parents are not wealthy at all and thats why they rejected me

oh and i also didnt apply for FA so i dont know why they cared but its evident that they did

oh yeah, well 3 people (that i know of) at my school applied out. me and 2 others. they both got acceptances across the boards and i got 3 waitlists. i know im a better student (not bragging, just a fact) and i know theyre loads richer. see the connection?????????????

Speaking on behalf of a school, we hate rejecting kids. Absolutely hate it. And we hate not being able to give every admitted student the financial aid they need. But, in the end, we have to meet our budgets or the school won't be available to anyone - rich or poor. Those of us who work for schools obviously aren't in it for the big bucks we earn. Many of us were scholarship students ourselves and identify with the kids who are trying to better their circumstances by applying to BS; we just don't have enough aid to give everyone what they deserve.
