I've only made a million of these

But I'm still a bit unsure on my college list. I guess I'm just having some cold feet on my final list. I'm going for Neuroscience or psychology with bio
Basically, i'm just looking for your opinion on what my final list should look like. I'd like to apply to only 4-6.

Heres the list:
Smith: #1 choice. DEF ON LIST
University of Alabama: Safety: DEF ON LIST
Scripps: Reach DEF ON LIST

and the muddled middle
Pitzer: I like it, but I do like Scripps better. But, i like that its co-ed
Tulane-i like that its warm, and they have a lot of merit money.
Union College: Really loved it at my visit. Money's a bit of an issue
Hampshire: LOVE the atmosphere and everything, but the grad rate sucks
Mount Holyoke-less angry than Smith. But, i don't like it as much as Smith
Franklin and Marshall: Keeps popping on my list. LOVE THEIR THEATRE

Work part time at DQ
1000 volunteer hours.

Suggestions? Comments? Concerns.?

THANKS SO MUCH..if you leave a link, i'll help you with whatever

1000 volunteer hours? Have you been volunteering five hours a week every week for the last four years or what?

If your interested in Hampshire, then you’ll like Bard, or Marlboro-very similar atmosphere. I don’t think that grad rate should keep you away from Hampshire though, I don’t think it’s necessarily the college itself that causes the low grad rate. I’m actually looking at Bard and Hampshire myself, having some trouble finding other colleges similar to them in the northeast.

wow, you’re stats and interests are so similar to mine!
i wanna get into neuroscience & behavior or psychology with neurosci concentration.
with that said, i’ll just give you my (very longgg) college list.
they all have good psych programs with some sort of neuroscience.

schools with neuroscience & behavior major:
-barnard
-mount holyoke
-vassar
-wesleyan

schools with psych-neurosci programs:
-cmu
-jhu
-tufts (clinical psychology)
-umich (bbcs)
-upenn (bbb)
-yale

hope this helped and good luck!

Thanks mniyks

and chaosakita: No, i volunteered 50 hours a week for 10 weeks for two summers thus 1000

buummppity

How about Vassar?

Maybe a reach/match depending on your SATs, although given your AP scores, your SAT scores will probably be pretty good.

It’s in Poughkeepsie, NY. I like the name of the city. PoeKeepsE

Of your muddled list, I think you should apply to Tulane for the possibility of merit money, and to Hampshire and Franklin and Marshall because you emphasized the word LOVE in your descriptions of both.

Mt. Holyoke can come off because it’s a northeast women’s college (similar to Smith, which is definitely staying). Pitzer can come off because you’re more likely to get into Scripps, and many of the opportunties at the two will overlap because of the consortium. And Union can come off because you don’t think you’ll be able to afford it (though I’m not sure why you think that.) You could switch Franklin and Marshall and Union, if you decided that money wasn’t a big problem at Union after all.
