Yeah.. Duke said they sent all letters last thursday (3/31)
but i havent received either acceptance package or financial aid package(i need that :-()

i am in florida

do you guys already get it ?? or do i need wait more???

p.s : does Duke hold special events/day for admitted students?
i am planning on visiting, but i dont know when i should visit. (btw, is weekend a bad time to visit a college since there wouldnt be classes and lots students in the campus??... arr.. but i dont want to miss my school to much.. what should i do???)

1) The acceptance packet and the FA info are in the same package. It was priority mail, so you should get it VERY soon.
2) I got mine Friday, but I'm from NC.
3) The Blue Devil Days (for admitted students) are on April 11 (Mon), 14 (Thur), 18 (Mon), 22 (Fri), and 25 (Mon) from ~8:00 am-4:30 pm.

arrr... do you guys think it's really bad idea to visit duke on weekend???

On the weekend, the campus will be fairly empty most of the day (I don't know if that's what you want or not) and you won't be able to sit in on any classes.

Also, on the weekend the buses run less frequently and take a longer route, but I guess that won't affect you assuming you come in a car.

no car T_T

do you think those special college days for admitee would be somewhat different from normal days?? (like not a good reflection of regular college day)

also does duke provide an overnight stay ???
(do they charge? if they do , how much?)

(just wonder)

The "special days" will be normal for us students, if that's what you mean. We're not going to act any differently or anything, and we'll have classes as normal. There won't be any impromptu parades or students breaking into song as you walk around. You'll have some things that you can do though. You'll find out when you get your admissions stuff.
Yes, you can stay overnight with a student (on the floor of the dorm room, bring a sleeping bag), and I think it's free. They definitely aren't paying students who let kids sleep over, that's for sure.
