Recommendations: AMAZING, especially from my GC. She basically explains how I left my private, christian high school senior year to pursue a higher education and she says how i'm like the smartest kid she ever met and stuff. lol.
Race:Asian-If I put Sri Lankan, will that look better than Indian? I'm both.
Income:100k
Hooks:none! LOL For all the Ivies, I am applying for relatively uncommon majors like cultural studies majors.

I think you have good chance at John-Hopkins. Are you on any positions for the clubs?

Science team captain
youngest one to ever make the A-Team
1 chair for band sax
Only 9th grade portfolio artist at the time.
(I know these aren’t great and public school kids are part of hundreds of societies and are “historian,” “treasurer,” “parliamentarian,” etc, but my school only offered NHS. I was a part of every club at my school except drama club.

You have great extra curriculars but your unweighted GPA and SAT score might hold you back

He has a 3.95 unweighted GPA, I doubt that will hold anyone back.

How will a 3.95 GPA hold me back? My SAT is on par for Hopkins and my Math is actuall above Hopkins mean score?

okay, i just want to sort of clear something up… does applying to a major that is relatively irrelevant to all of your EC’s bad (or also irrelevant) ?
I’m not sure. I would highly highly recommend you ask someone about that before you do it.
I know it works at the UC campuses, but i’m not so sure about the ivies.

Now, onto the chancing…
Your stats are strong, as well as your EC’s.
Write a fantastic personal statement, that will be your golden ticket.
chance back please :}

thanks, I’lll chance back. Applying to a relatively uncommon major won’t hurt if it is a type of major you absolutely cannot prove interest in. Like how can you prove you want to study women studies or philosophy? If you show to be a science person and sign up for english or political science, you might have some explaining to do.

by the way, I do note that i want to be a premed and it shows i have sciency credentials to do so, but i’m also applying for South Asian Studies for my major, why would they not believe that when I am 2 south asian races lol

lol playing the game galaxialto

You seem like you have a pretty decent chance of getting into Hopkins ED.

good shot for JHU

thanks for all the positive input. Some people have said I have no chance at all. Maybe they were just trolling.
