Ivies/other tops requiring 4 years of history?

I couldn't find a list on google. Does anyone know a site with the ivy reqs for high school?

Mainly interested in which Ivies + Stanford require four years of history.

[Let me google that for you](http://lmgtfy.com/?q=princeton+requirements)

you must have forgot the word requirements. no school REQUIRES anything(besides graduation eligability) due to different school sizes and schedule complications. there are stories of people getting around “requirements” such as language and history.

Thanks. I see. However, I heard that it is detrimental to have less than 4 years of foreign language when applying to Harvard. I know that it isn’t technically a “requirement”, but the chances of getting admitted are significantly lower…?

I guess I’m wondering which of the ivies consider it detrimental to have less than 4 years of language and history.

Four years of history? My super rigorous HS didn’t even offer 4 yrs history. I don’t know ANY high schools that offer this either.

There’s US, World, maybe Euro. What else?

You’re worrying over nothing.

Thanks. Any idea about how ivies view three years of language vs. four years? I’m not very interested in Spanish…

Princeton I know wants 4 years of the same language.

If your school offers the class, you have no excuse not to take it. And they know you don’t.

In my case, my school only offers up to Latin 3, so I only took 3 years of foreign language.

Well at my HS 4 years of social studies (history) is required.

Freshman: World History
Sophomore: 1 semester Contemporary World, 1 semester Gov
Junior: APUSH, US Hist, or American Studies
Senior: Modern California Hist, Econ (AP), Psych (AP), African American studies

other: Art History, History of Women in America, Ethnic Studies, Cold War, Far East History, Holocaust

Do a Search on this forum for “foreign language” and you will get a plethora of hits for this question.

T26E4 is oblivious to the world or might not socialize too often. Theres 2 US histories, world, econ, euro, human geo, and popular electives like genocide, asian history, and constitution classes
