Ivies rank

What is the rank for the ivy league schools?

1) Harvard
2) Princeton/Yale
3+???

no... I am pretty sure Dartmouth is first...

haha, I agree!

If its USNEWS the ranking is:
1) Harvard, Princeton
3) Yale
4) Penn
9) Dartmouth, Columbia
13) Cornell
15) Brown

Although I think Penn is way too high, and Brown way too low on this list.

No question, Dartmouth is #1.

The new year's day rankings for 2006 are just around the corner.

but princeton has the coolest name..it sounds so sophisticated.

yeah just though i'd add that.

Hey, I know this is not a thread specifically about college apps, but I have a quick question about Dartmouth. I'm hoping someone can help me out. I applied RD and I'm wondering if they just read the Common App essay? Is that it? Most of the schools I'm applying to had "additional essays" or required essays in their supplements. Why is Dartmouth the only Ivy I'm applying to that seems to care only about the Common App essay? If I'm missing something, please fill me in!!! I would like to know ASAP before the deadline. Should I submit one of the essays I'm writing to another school to Dartmouth just in case? If anyone out there in CC has applied or is applying to Dartmouth, please let me know!! Good luck to everyone. Thanks and have a Happy New Year!! :)

ccbouncer, i don't mean to call you out or anything, but why in the world would you ask the Ivy League rankings on the Dartmouth forum and then respond yourself without even listing Dartmouth on your list? I think a smarter move would have been posting on the Harvard forum

besides, it doesn't really matter what the school's ranked; as long as you like it and are happy with the school, the rank should mean ABSOLUTELY nothing

Does anyone have the link to the compilation of the last 15 years of US News rankings? I think I've seen it on this board once before.
