Ivies vs. Georgetown SFS

How does Georgetown SFS compare with all the ivies for quality of education, prestige, and post grad opportunities. (Ppl interested in IR)

Academically/education wise for IR, Georgetown ranks with the best of the best: The Best International Relations Schools in the World – Foreign Policy. While there is amazing talent at either, Georgetown leans more toward elite practitioners whereas Ivies might lean more toward elite academics.

Prestige, all are good schools. People who are hyperfocused on rankings will see many Ivies as a notch above.

Post grad opportunities, Georgetown students regularly get top private sector banking/consulting jobs, public sector gigs like the Foreign Service and Treasury, and elite graduate school opportunities and fellowships. I imagine most Ivies can say the same.

Really in terms of “quality” they’re all good. Culture and context, though, varies school to school, and if you really have the choice of all 9 of those schools you should consider that more.
