Ivies with good science/engineering

Of course my first choice would be MIT, but an ivy would be nice too. Which ivy leagues have good science program?
I've heard Harvard, Princeton and Cornell are good, and Brown has PLME. Are the other four less science-focused?

Science and engineering are two very different beasts for the Ivies.

Every Ivy has great sciences, particularly life-sciences and other disciplines that tie in well with their considerable medical school assets. So if you want pre-med stuff, you'll do fine at any Ivy. The best med schools among the Ivies are HMS and PMS.

For engineering, the only Ivy with an engineering school worthy of the name is Cornell. But the other Ivies usually have some bright spots in their engineering schools, like bioengineering and computer science.

Harvard, Princeton, and Columbia have strengths in physics.

So yeah, it varies.

Yes, all the Ivies are strong in the sciences but Cornell and Princeton stand out for engineering, especially Cornell. Columbia and Penn also have good engineering programs. Cornell is #1 in the country for engineering/applied physics.

In order of excellence.

ENGINEERING:
Cornell University
Princeton University
Columbia University
University of Pennsylvania (only for Biomedical Engineering)

SCIENCES:
Harvard University
Princeton University
Cornell University
Columbia University
Yale University

Sure, just leave out Brown and Dartmouth

Tetrisfan, in absolute terms, Brown, Dartmouth and Penn have solid Science departments. However, relative to some Ivy League schools (or other Science powerhouses like Cal, Caltech, Chicago, MIT and Stanford), they are not quite as strong.

But in all honesty, Alexandre, on what basis is the 'strength' of a science department gauged?

By strength, I mean quality of faculty, quality of research, ground-breaking research opportunities for undergrads, quality of labs and breadth and depth of curriculum.

Thanks for all the information everyone
