ivies?

Hi, just wanted a third unbiased opinion of my chances of getting into an ivy...

i grew up in the states, but was born in korea. i'm currently living in germany right now and have been since last year (so im spending junior and senior years here)

scores:

GPA:
i'm not too sure, but its over 4.0 if weighted.
after sophomore year, i was in the top 0% and my school had close to 1000 ppl in my year alone
also, in the school i'm at right now, i'll probably be graduating as valedictorian. there's not a lot of people here, thou, so it's not that hard to do..

APs
bio: 5
calc bc: 5
(i did these sophomore year, which is why i have aps cuz the international school i'm at right now only offers ib)

IBs
i'm in the diploma programme for the international baccalaureate and so i wont be taking the tests til may and the scores don't come out until august i think, but here are the courses i'm in:
English A1 HL
German Ab Initio SL
History HL
Math HL
Chemistry HL
Computer Science SL
and of course, i'm also taking TOK and am in the CAS program

SAT reasoning:
i took them twice, first time i got a 2130 and the second, 2270 (which was, funnily enough, exactly what i got on my psats, a 227)

SAT subject:
bio: 790 (this was the second time i took it)
math: 760 (again, the second time)
physics: 710 (i took this after i took regents level physics, so i wasn't really prepared for it...)
chem: -- (i havent taken it yet, but signed up for the october test)

ACT:
also took them twice, but sending the one i took with writing which was the better of the two anyways
reading: 36
math: 36
science: 36
english: 31
writing: 9/12
english with writing: 30
so my composite score was a 35

ummm...extracurriculars, i don't have too many of. i have played the piano since i was 5, although i have stopped occasionally for a couple of months. i am planning on recording a song and submitting this with my app. also, have done a level 6 nyssma piece and recieved a 98 (nyssma is a music competition thingie in new york state, where people go play in fron of judges and are assessed by a certain standard. a level 6 is the highest level)
i played the violin until last year, when i moved to germany. also did nyssma at level 6 and got a 95. also, i was in all-country for every year i was in orchestra in middle school (i quite orchestra freshman year because i couldn't handle taking the lessons and missing out in class because of precalc (i skipped 2 years in math) along with all honors classes. also, sophomore year, i wouldnt have been able to accommodate orchestra because i was taking two sciences and didnt have time for lunch or anything extra
played volleyball last year, varsity for international school (competition is a lot less) and plan on doing it again
tutor kids
thats really all i can think of...i have done volunteer work at my school and such, but not long term projects, just here and there for activities and stuff held at school
did ballroom dancing when i first came to germany but stopped because it took so much time.
i'm thinking of doing model UN this year, going to the netherlands.

awards: none...which i think is probably really problematic... because its an international school, theres no NHS. i do have a semifinalist standing from the psat thingie. also, i have always been on the principals list (idk if thats an award or not) and have at the school in germany, consistently recieved the high honor award.
also, i graduated as valedictorian from middle school, if this means anything...

summer: i have gone to korea a few times for vacation, and have done stanfords EPGY the summer before junior year, in intro to business and also cornells summer college program this year. i took a lab and lecture there, and got a c in my lecture...should i not report that i went because the grade is so bad?

that's all i can really think of, but anything i forgot, just mention it and i'll add it if i can...

i would love to study medicine. i really want to do the dual program, where you go straight from getting your BS to your med degree, at the same institution. i know brown has this (its called PLME) and northwestern (HPME). I was also considering applying to cambrige for med. However, i'm pretty much open to going to a four year undergrad premed, and then to med school, provided it's a good school i'll be going to.

i'm kind of worried about my chances, and i know that everyone keeps telling me that i have a chance but i'm afraid they're just saying that because i know guidance counselors don't always tell you the direct truth...

so, truthfully, what would you say?

some of my colleges i want to get into include: cambridge, brown (but only for the PLME program), northwestern (only for the HPME), columbia, harvard, MIT, stanford, cornell, Upenn

some of my security schools are tufts, suny binghamton, university of michigan

sorry about the long post...but please, i would love feedback/suggestions/comments...thanks!!

Uh, what does top 0% mean? Congrats on that ACT score! Everything you listed in the award section is actually an award, except colleges don't look at middle school. And don't worry about NHS, if colleges really care about that that's funny because it's really lame at my school. :P Don't mention your Cornell thing then...and for EC's talk a lot about your music, it seems like you're great at piano and violin!

Unfortunately being out of the country hurts you a bit...here's what I think:

Reach:
Cambridge
Columbia
Harvard
MIT
Stanford (mention the summer class, it could help a little)

30-40%:
UPenn

50/50:
Brown
Cornell

Pretty sure:
Northwestern, not sure about HPME though

You're in at your safeties. :)

I would say being international actually helps you...a great deal
