I'm a junior right now and an international.
For the past few years, I've been gathering information and getting ready to apply for an American College(Ivy).

Although I have gathered most of the general information (thanx to CC), I still feel unsure about somethings.

It would be great if some admitted students preferably from New Zealand could help me by giving me advice through msn.

I've got questions on like interviews, gpa, ranking etc.

So if there is any admitted students could you please PM me your email?

i'm not an international or anything, but the biggest problem/mistake internationals make is shooting way toooo high: sooo many well qualified internationals apply only to ivy leagues and get rejected

I advise you to apply to some other American universities if you really want to study in the US...

haha...sure; i'm sorry if i sounded a bit disheartening, but I just want to help you maximize your chances of getting to study in the US! I mean, it has nothing to do with stats or anything at all along those lines, but it's just that the competition has always been stiff, and colleges always keep low acceptance number on internationals...

You do that, but as a warning I know of quite a few international students with 1600, 800, 800, 800 (some up to 6 SAT IIs), and a 4.00 that got rejected BY EVERY SINGLE IVY they applied TO (make a note of the "TO" in this specific situation) and are now in Oxford, Cambridege, Canada, and every imaginable place in the world but not the ivies. Dream away but don't be a fool and put in a couple of safety schools. It is hard to be unique here. Good luck.
P.S. I am int'l too in case that inspires more credibility.
P.P.S I am not even going to discuss the rest of the grammar but let me put it this way: have your essays looked at before you send them out.

Now that's a good idea. Then even if you get in a school that is ranked slightly lower you can always transfer. Transferring is not so bad, I could say it's enriching my college experience as we speak :P

Last year Brown rejected 65% of the valedictorians that applied, rejected 75% of the kids that scored 750 and above on their math SAT I, rejected 76% of the kids that scored 750 and above on their verbal SAT I.

Being top % or two in SAT's and grades only gets you a lottery ticket at most of the Ivies.

Brown is proud of the fact that they have kids from 50 states and 70 countries attending. If you are really good and the best NZ applicant, I think that that would your chance.

They do take kids with lower scores, of course. My D was accepted ED with 800/700/750.
