also, if it counts at all, im ranked within the top 2 of my class

Sounds like the typical asian dude.
Your SAT I is kinda low for this type of applicant however, got a hook or differing factor?

I would give you a reach for the lower ivies, and a super high reach for the top tier.

haha thats the great thing of where i live though, my school is pretty small and in the past few years we had 3-4 students out of 30 go to ivy schools and their SAT scores weren’t anything to brag about. i know its low on state standards but I live in a US territory so hopefully not as hard for me. but what im worried about are my ec’s- how do those look?

You have a lot of breadth, that’s for certain, but not much depth - except for maybe music.
Will you expand on music in your essays? If not - what will you expand upon?

I’m not sure what the policy is for applicants like you, but no matter where you live you will be facing fierce competition for a few spots.

What is your full SAT I score? The Ivies do count writing you know.

im going to expand on how music has influenced my life- played piano for 9 years, clarinet for 6, and sax for 5. my full sat 1 score is a 2170- i know its not great but im try to decide whether i should focus on my SAT 1 or if i should just focus my efforts on raising my SAT2 chem and getting a good score on my SAT2 world history

You could actually improve both, you have two SAT times [correct me if I am wrong] before the RDs are due for the common app.

I can’t say for certain if you will get in or not - it’s almost all subjective. But increasing your standardized test scores is the most surefire way at improving your chances.

Math => 800 should be easy for you at least
