So, what are my chances? My schools are Boston College, New York University, and I'm doing a super reach for the Ivies-- especially Brown, Columbia and Cornell.

BU- match
NYU- match/slight reach
Ivys/top 15- reach, but theyre reaches for pretty much everybody :P

I think the above people are a bit pessimistic. With your resume, you can feel fairly confident about tackling most ivies. You should be a shoo-in at BU and NYU (And I'm 99% certain of that). I'd suggest tacking on BC to your list though, I liked it far better than BU - unless city schools are your thing.

As for ivies, you have a shot at any one of them if you clean up your resume a bit. You have undeniably impressive grades and the fact that you're challenging yourself is great. Your SAT scores and AP are good. However, ivies tend to look at the larger picture.

Suggestion: Focus your focus (I know it sounds funny, but it's important). You run the risk of overwhelming the admissions officer with a horde of stuff you did, but remember that they're not looking for how many clubs or activities you're in. They're seeing if you're passionate about something. Here's where you're going to run into problems, because it appears that you're trying to cram as much stuff as possible to look better on an application (not saying that's true, just looks it).

Simplify it. Ex: Group your relief and fundraising efforts together and detail which causes they're for as the description.

But on the whole, you're doing very well and rest assured you're one of the more competitive candidates. You're worrying far too soon. Visit your target colleges over the summer and you'll be in great shape while everyone else is panicking in the fall and winter.

Thank you all for your responses

I appreciate your input CollectivSynergy. I definitely realize it seems like I have way to much going on, but it's far from the truth, so I will try to focus my efforts some more. And I did mean Boston College; BU I will also apply to, but I feel better about admission and it's not a first choice.

Any one else?

I would focus on one or two extracirriculars and become the ‘best’ at them. Take a look at Cal Newport’s How to be a High School Superstar. Your list now looks unfocused and like you are just trying to fill up lines on the Common App.

I think you will undoubtly recieve admissions to both Boston and NYU.
Additionally, I actually think you have a pretty good chance at the Ivies. You are obviously challenging yourself with your courseload. Also, that you are of Indian decent will probably go a long way to help in your application. But something you are lacking (from the information you provided) is leadership. Many of the Ivies place a heavy weigh on your leadeship activities.
