Ivy Chances

Bummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmppppppppppp

I think its too early to chance you. Most of the ECs you listed you say you have not done but plan to do. Like that Virginia Residential Governors School: you can’t just assume you will do it if it accepts only 200 kids from your state. Too much of what you list is hypothetical. And when people hypothetically predict things they tend to make the hypothetical version better than what they actually do. But assuming all of this actually does happen:

Penn: low reach/ reach
Columbia: low reach/ reach
Harvard: reach
UVa: high match/low reach

Your hypothetical ECs are strong. Just actually do them and you should be fine.

Thanks! I will try as hard as I can to do my ECs, I am actually working on my Gov School App right now!

Buuuummmpp ooonn mmeeeee bump me on buuuuuuummmmppp oooonnn meeeeeee bump me on
Would:
Carnegie Mellon (Tepper)
Duke
Notre Dame (Mendoza)
Be matches?
and would Cornell be match or low reach or reach?

Which Ivy should I consider for ED?

 • my previous question (see above)

Shameless Bump

I knew a kid who got into Carnegie melon. The biggest difference from you and him was his killer SAT score (2300) and he was pretty much the favorite student of the best teacher in the school, which landed him a fantastic rec.

Wow that is an impressive SAT score! Congratulations to him for his acceptance. My hope is that he was the top of the applicant pool and that I still have a chance.

High reach - Columbia/Harvard
Reach - Penn
Match - UVA

Assuming your SAT/ACT scores are 2100+.
