@masquerade98 so do you think they’ll all be out by around 5:30ish.
Lol deciding the order to open is actually a good idea!
I’d probably do:
Penn
Yale
Brown
Harvard
Columbia
In order of preference
Less than 48 hours to go!
@masquerade98 They released all at the same time last year. Regardless, I’m waiting until 5:30 so nothing crashes and I don’t lose momentum
My order will be Harvard then Princeton because I like Princeton better so for some reason I want to check it last. I won’t be able to check until after 6 though because I have soccer practice. You guys applying to all 8 seem crazy to me. I applied to 7 colleges total and that was plenty for me.
@whmustangs28 - as of now - most Ivies have said 5pm, except for Brown who said 5pm for some people (states) and 530pm for others.
Did anyone receive the emails from the Ivies confirming the Ivy Day notifications’ time and date?
@Cariño Yep from both on my schools
@Cariño yep i received emails from both of my schools as well.
@angelkitty247 which two did you apply to?
@Cariño - yes - AFAIK all Ivies except Harvard and Yale sent out emails
@wormholes (wow I see you everywhere I swear haha) Cornell and Columbia, both of which I have no hope for haha but we shall see
Thank you all!
Yes, my daughter received them all except Yale and Harvard…Counting down…Sooo nervous…
@angelkitty247 haha really? is that good or bad :)) though i will admit i am unhealthily addicted to this site…
I’m waiting for Cornell, Harvard, Yale and Princeton! Harvard is my Top choice so I’m going to open that last.
Princeton
Yale
Cornell
Harvard
In that order lol
@wormholes aha same! Seems like we applied to a lot of the same schools. Which ivies did you apply to?
@angelkitty247 i applied to penn and cornell! kinda wish i applied to more but at the same time i don’t because my chances of getting into hyp are basically 0. and the supplements for brown and columbia were so tedious. and dartmouth is too small for my tastes. and basically i don’t want a ton of rejections in one day. haha
Please! Don’t forget this: if your dream school does not accept you, you still can try for graduate school. My nephew’s first option was Yale for college. He was rejected and went to WashUSTL. Later he got into Yale Med. School with scholarship. Keep work and hopes up!!! (yes, I am a mom )
@wormholes The Columbia supplemental was kinda fun haha I just expect the worst for Ivy Day so then it will either be something I was mentally prepared for, or a pleasant surprise. I kinda butchered my interview of Cornell so I really kinda just expect rejection :((
I’ll probably open Cornell first though and then Columbia (didn’t get an interview even though other people did - I really don’t expect anything from Columbia haha). IDK why but i’m kinda excited for Ivy Day, even though I’m expecting two rejections lol, maybe because it will all be over.
@angelkitty247 omg i can relate soo much lol. my penn interview was so bad…literally was 20 minutes and would’ve been 17 if i hadn’t stretched it out by desperately throwing in some questions for my interviewer. but don’t worry - i don’t think the interview counts for much!
i’m also kind of excited! though we don’t know what to expect, it’ll be an exciting day! which cornell college did you apply to?
@wormholes yea… that’s where I messed up in my interview… I said I applied to CALS like twenty times but I applied to CAS lolol. I think my interview was 30-45 mins though. I also chose the wrong major (another face palm - chemical biology as opposed to biochem kmn) Soooo yea long story short i’m an idiot XD I did apply CAS though and my essay was all about CAS so maybe they’ll understand (or not ;-
@angelkitty247 i’m sure you’ll be fine!!! good luck on thursday! also, did they have a biochem major? when i applied, i looked through all the majors and i didn’t see it as an option; i only saw chemical biology.
