@martychondria WELL DONE!

@Y2JRedskins SAME!!!

Waitlisted: Columbia, UPenn, and Brown.
LOL!!!

rejected everywhere and waitlisted at UPenn!!! GEORGETOWN2021 HOYA SAXA

@CelestialAP
Good luck on your waitlists! If not I might see you in Ithaca next fall :stuck_out_tongue:

I just can’t believe it. Rejected at Harvard (don’t really care), accepted at Penn (ecstatic!). Penn was my original #1 dream school that was a super reach, and I just applied to Harvard bc it’s Harvard. I was all torn up bc I wanted to apply to Penn ED but my ACT scores hadn’t come in yet. I’m just in absolute shock!!! URM, 31 ACT (32 superscored for Penn), 3.8UW/4.1W

@Cariño Duke’s ED acceptance rate was actually 24.5% … not 7.3%. ED is much less competitive. https://today.duke.edu/2016/12/duke-accepts-861-early-decision-applicants

Do the portals look any different between those who got accepted v. rejected v. waitlisted for schools before you check the update?

Accepted at Yale and Brown!!! Waitlisted at Harvard and Cornell. Rejected at Princeton!! Still in disbelief!!

DD was accepted at Columbia and waitlisted at UPenn.

Rejected from Brown and Harvard. Neither of my applications were complete and I didn’t realize till last min. But its okay. I would have been rejected regardless.

Still got into other great schools :slight_smile:

EDIT: Congrats to all accepted. You guys are brilliant!

Accepted to Cornell!! Wait listed/ Rejected everywhere else. Still can’t wrap my head around it!!

Rejected from Penn and Harvard. Offered a transfer option at Cornell (ILR). I am anxious to receive that e-mail in a few days to see the exact details of the transfer option, but I am excited that I was obviously somewhat close to acceptance. However, I have other great college options and I don’t think I want to have a stepping stone year where I don’t truly connect with my college because I’m waiting around for Cornell, especially since a lot of those schools are a lot more affordable than Cornell is.

Welp here it is, my entire college acceptance history:

Accepted: Columbia (Davis), Cornell, Hopkins (BME), UVA (Rodman), UMich, UNC, USC
Waitlisted: Harvard, Princeton, Duke, UPenn
Rejected: Yale, MIT, Stanford, WashU

Overall, pretty happy!

Congrats to everyone who got into schools that they were hoping for! If anyone has questions about Yale or would like help deciding, feel free to contact me and I can share my experiences as a freshman!

For those who weren’t happy with the results, remember that there is a huge random factor in the admissions process and where you were/weren’t accepted says nothing about you as a person. How many applicants with x major or x extracurricular applied that year plays a big role, along with a constellation of equally insignificant seeming factors. You are worth no less than someone who happened to be accepted and your rejection is likely not due to any faults of your own. If you’re discouraged right now, I promise things will get better. Ivy Leagues aren’t magical places where everything is perfect. I’m happy to be a shoulder to cry on for anyone who needs it as well!

I hope everyone is able to find a way to make the best of the rest of their evening, no matter the outcome! I’m sure today is very emotional for everyone.

So happy! Accepted to Cornell, only Ivy I applied to. Rejected UChicago, JHU, and Northwestern all on the same day! That was not a great day but today is! Also accepted to GT, UMich, IU.
