Any one here from india who got a likely letter from any ivy
@USUG21 As an international student myself(even though from a less represented country) I’ve been stalking the Likely Letter claims throughout all 22 schools that interest me and there were little to no international students there. So I’m just waiting for March 30th and would advise to do the same and not worry about not receiving a likely, which seems extremely rare for everyone, let alone international students
@MeHowPL thanx. I am an international and got UCLA engg open house invitation. This is a likely letter of UCLA. I saw some threads very few though as u hav observed some ppl from other countries other than india have received LL. So i was hopeful. In columbia a lot of LL have been issued as xan be seen from the thread. Cornel ll release its diversity letters today
We can only hope. Thanx again…
Hi, just confirming UChicago decisions are for sure out this Friday? Thanks! @DreamforIvy
@STEM2021 yes it’s definitely this Friday. UChicago released this official date on their admissions webpage.
Thanks! Oh boy! JHU and UChicago on the same day and maybe Northwestern too. Potentially 3 of my pending 4 decisions. I only have 1 Ivy in the mix, Cornell. The end is in sight! @nervous17yearold
@mackyg – LOL…you’re right that it sounded pretty mean to say “he won’t get in.” Good thing that kid doesn’t have an account here! : ) I just meant that it was a true long-shot and neither he nor I think it’s realistic…A debate guy from Cornell reached out to him and that’s how the application came about…but he’s under the stats of most of the people in this thread.
I applied to 3: Harvard, Cornell and UPenn. I have more hope for Cornell than the other 2 because of my interview and because I think I fit well into ILR, the school I applied to.
I applied to all except Cornell only because I ran out of time. Honestly, I’m really concerned that so many likely letters are going out and the spaces for the rest of us is decreasing with each new likely letter sent. Anyways, good luck to all and don’t forget to stock up on tissues for Doomsday 2017.
It would be nice if people would come back to this thread with results for future students so they can see the reality of the competitiveness of these schools. Most of the time, kids don’t come back and “rejected from all Ivy’s I applied to” when that is what happens to most.
@suzyQ7 i’ll come back ! (with all rejections :""") )
I applied to four (Harvard, Brown, Yale, Penn) and really hope for Yale (deferred EA). I got into Northeastern’s Honors Program and URochester but I feel like the Ivies are just too selective for me. JHU and UChicago also.
I applied to two: Cornell and Penn. I was originally going to apply to two more (Brown and Columbia) but I decided against it because I was already applying to so many schools. I’m really hoping to get into at least one, but if not…it’s okay
Applied to Columbia, Brown, and Dartmouth as a theatre major. Not that I’m actually gonna get in to any of them, but figured I might as well try! Also they were the only essays I genuinely enjoyed writing through the process.
Is anyone internally AND externally freaking out? Just thinking that decisions will be released in 15 days is absolutely mindblowing to me haha I remember being a little sophomore obsessed with getting into an Ivy League! And now, the 2.5 years away I had sophomore year turned into 15 days away my senior year… It’s just crazy to me that this is FINALLY our time to shine.
@wormholes I applied to the same ones. I also wanted to apply to Columbia, Harvard and possibly Princeton but just didn’t have the time/motivation to do all those extra apps.
@DreamforIvy aww that makes me so nostalgic.
whoo just got into cornell ^-^
@DreamforIvy lol I didn’t even know if I wanted to go to college as a sophomore and now here I am, freaking out waiting for decisions…
@binky17 I think many people don’t apply to Dartmouth because of its reputation as being dominated by greek life and parties. It appeals to some, but scares others away.
