Harvard, Penn, and Columbia here!!! Columbia is the dream school in my case. So far, accepted at WashU, Northwestern, among others. Denied at BU, waitlisted at Swarthmore. Good luck to everyone!!!
Goodluck everyone. Just know that no matter the result, everything will be okay. Onwards and upwards! :}
@Harvard2022maybe what happens when you go to this link https://apply.princeton.edu/portal/admitted
@hornplayerdanny what’s your major ? If you don’t go to WashU 1 more spot for the wait listed
Columbia, Harvard, Princeton and Dartmouth ( GO GREEN!)
Good luck everyone!
@RoleastLained Is that the admitted student portal? Mine says 403 forbidden for princeton and I guess I’m getting rejected… happened for UChicago too.
I’m waiting on Brown, Harvard, Princeton (deferred), Yale. If I don’t win the Ivy lottery I’m going to Yale-NUS or UCLA with Regents. Good luck everybody!
Son is going to CW tomorrow and Friday for a visit and April 8-9 to WashU. I know kind of late to visit but we told him to visit only after accepted and didn’t find out about WashU until March 15. UVA is still high on his list but WashU before CW unless his visits will tell him otherwise. Still UPenn his #1 . Good luck everyone. With so many qualified appplicants it almost feels like a lottery at this time.
i applied to all of them too. Good luck everyone
Anyone here thinking about NOT going to an Ivy if accepted because of their love/fit for another University?
@DiegoDad1 yup. that, and money… but i don’t want to put the cart in front of the horse and even assume i’m gonna get waitlisted at any of them so my heart is settled on the local public for now
I applied to Penn, Harvard, and Yale! Received a likely letter from Yale, so I’m hoping nothing changed their minds. And to echo your point @DiegoDad1 I’m actually highly considering University of Pittsburgh above the ivies! Pitt is such a great fit for a premed student, is in an urban setting (which I love), and they also gave me a full ride, which doesn’t hurt
@Arequipa good luck my son liked CW and WashU. We live in STL. WashU is highly regarded for medical school
@livingandwriting i’m in the same boat with pitt!! in-state full tuition, and i really wanna double in bio and writing, both of which pitt is known for…(except i didn’t get any sort of yale likely letter ahaha)
@collage99 ah congrats!! one of my favorite poets (Terrence Hayes) teaches at Pit, and I love writing too, so it just seems like a perfect fit for me!
Son applied to Yale and Princeton. He’s already been accepted to great schools that have offered him excellent financial packages (BC, Colby, Hamilton, UD Honors) and one that he really liked but is not affordable (WPI), got deferred then rejected from MIT (which I didn’t think was the best fit for him). We are REALLY hoping Princeton, but Yale is a close second. Still waiting for Tufts. Right now, all else being equal, he’s leaning BC. If Tufts is a YES but no on the Ivies, he will revisit and maybe change to Tufts. Either Ivy will be a YES from him as they are his top two choices. If for some immense miracle he gets into both, he will have a tough choice but I think it will be Princeton! I couldn’t sleep last night. I can’t imagine what you all must be going through waiting!!! I’m sure you will all end up in great colleges regardless!
@livingandwriting that’s so awesome! congrats on all the success you’ve seen already, i’m sure you’ll do absolutely amazing no matter where you decide to go
I’m waiting on Tufts as well - even if a miracle happens and I get accepted to Columbia, I may choose Tufts just because I love it’s atmosphere and many other things (again, a miracle if I get into Tufts also so fingers crossed!) good luck to your son! @moosiechica88
My suggestion right now for y’all is to download Ifunny if you don’t already have it and just look at memes for the next 6 hours.
Freaking out. Applied to all Ivies except for Penn and Brown. Only got a likely letter from Cornell. This wait will destroy me.
