Competitive scores, grades, and rank

Rigor of courses seem to be somewhat lacking (how many ap/ib classes are you taking this year?)

EC’s are fairly good.

Overall, I think that you are a competitive applicant, but make sure that you have some safeties in mind!

Chances:

Lower ivies - Mid Reach
HYP - High Reach

I feel that your scores are average and ECs pretty average for these schools. You will need to write very good essays about the depth of your ECs and personality that can’t come through scores because your scores will definitely not get you in alone. I am not demeaning your achievements they are terrific. However, in the pool you are competing with you are average and I would say below average for Harvard, Princeton, etc. At the lowest ivies such as cornell and dartmouth I would say a low reach. For the other ivies such as UPenn and Brown it is a reach. And for Harvard, Princeton, MIT extremely high reach.

I got into Harvard SCEA by the way

Congratulations!! Just wondering, have you heard from any other school so far and what major did you apply for?

Could you assess what my chances are?

I wish you every success in the future!

@Dizichen I didn’t apply anywhere else, bio, and your chances on paper look better than mine did but I honestly have no idea!

Were you recruited for one of your sports?

Nope!

You give normal people like me hope! CC is full of people saying that you have to be a junior Olympian, Nobel prize winner or Carnegie Hall musician to get into HYPSM/

Could you chance me please? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/17986183#Comment_17986183

Since you got in Harvard SCEA and you’re not a recruited athlete, I can only assume your essays were truly outstanding. You are a well-rounded applicant; you have a great shot at all the ivies.
