Ivy League Chances!

Would this be competitive for Ivy League admissions? The test scores are all forecasts.

Age: 27
Ethnicity: Hispanic
Permanantly disabled: Severe Asperger's Syndrome

High school: None. I dropped out 10 years ago and earned my GED two years ago.

AP exams: I'm not in HS, so I didn't take any of the classes. These scores are predictions for spring of 2010.

Calculus BC: 5
Statistics: 5
Chemistry: 5
Computer science: 5
English composition: 5

ACT composite: 35

GPA: None. Dropped out of HS in 2000.

Extracurriculars: Started own city. Should I make it an essay topic? Basically did it to get out of paying $30 a month for parking...please don't ask!!

Aside from giving anecdotal advice about credit repair, I don't have any extracurriculars.

More: I am permanantly disabled according to the social security administration and am collecting federal and state benefits. I "cannot work" according to the SSA.

Thanks!

I’m callin shenanigans on this one.

Winner Winner

Chicken Dinner

Not shenanigans. My situations’s a little unusual, that’s all.

Lmao.

GED and applying for Ivy?

God I hope this is a joke. (Cause it is a good one)

I’m serious!! Wait, the Ivy Leagues don’t like GED recipients? High school was 10 years ago, so I’m not sure what the current standards are.

I’m curious, how does one start their own city to get out of parking fees?

Raven, your claws are digging into a can of worms that I’d rather not open…hope you understand. It was just something that ended up saving me some money on parking and it would take too long to discuss here. Should it go in my college essay somewhere?

What is the name of your noble kingdom?

I really don’t want to go until detail here. Just curious to see if it would be worth including as an essay topic on the application…

The irony is that tuition will end up being around 200k and you are too damn cheap to pay parking (allegedly)

Do you hope to work in your life?

Don’t just look into Ivy League schools. With your situation, it may even be difficult to evaluate you. You have other top 20 colleges to browse. Don’t just focus on one line for its first success.

Elle Woods got into Harvard Law! So I guess anything is possible.

You can’t ask if the City thing should be in an essay and then not say the parameters surrounding it.

Chickendinner, I think the best advice would be for you to either go to community college for some time or maybe even a lower level state university and then try to transfer to ivy. Your situation is very unusual and may cause for a lot of hesitation in these schools. Don’t give up, just approach it differently.

“How To Start Your Own Town”

[How do you start your own town? - By Daniel Engber - Slate Magazine](How do you start your own town?)

This has to be a joke… and I can get into harvard with a 1830 SAT… yeah thats a good laugh. In all honesty, go check your local community college.

that 35 looks really good though. with your situation, i would recommend some slightly less selective schools, particularly smaller ones (better teacher/student interaction)

Anybody who believes this guy is ridiculous. Why cant you tell us the name of this city you made “chicken dinner”? Why did you drop out of high school and think you can go to the Ivies? This doesnt make any sense.
