Extracurriculars: Started own city. Should I make it an essay topic? Basically did it to get out of paying $30 a month for parking...please don't ask!!

Aside from giving anecdotal advice about credit repair, I don't have any extracurriculars.

More: I am permanantly disabled according to the social security administration and am collecting federal and state benefits. I "cannot work" according to the SSA.

Raven, your claws are digging into a can of worms that I’d rather not open…hope you understand. It was just something that ended up saving me some money on parking and it would take too long to discuss here. Should it go in my college essay somewhere?

Don’t just look into Ivy League schools. With your situation, it may even be difficult to evaluate you. You have other top 20 colleges to browse. Don’t just focus on one line for its first success.

Chickendinner, I think the best advice would be for you to either go to community college for some time or maybe even a lower level state university and then try to transfer to ivy. Your situation is very unusual and may cause for a lot of hesitation in these schools. Don’t give up, just approach it differently.

This has to be a joke… and I can get into harvard with a 1830 SAT… yeah thats a good laugh. In all honesty, go check your local community college.

that 35 looks really good though. with your situation, i would recommend some slightly less selective schools, particularly smaller ones (better teacher/student interaction)

Anybody who believes this guy is ridiculous. Why cant you tell us the name of this city you made “chicken dinner”? Why did you drop out of high school and think you can go to the Ivies? This doesnt make any sense.
