Hello:
I am a transfer student from community college.
Just wanted some input from any who research, attend, attended, or going to attend any of these schools listed below:

-I am studying business
-Financial aid is pretty much met (not high income from parents)
-Emory is my dream school. I love everything about it. It is just so beautiful, both academically and physically.
-UCLA was also my dream school (but rejected)

Basically, I am just so unsure, but have to decide soon!

Any suggestions/opinions would be fantastic!!

Narrow it down to Yale, Emory, and Stanford. Maybe Penn, but definitely visit! That was a make or break for me when I got into 9 schools and had to pick.

In your other thread you said you didn’t get into UPenn and you said you were maybe going to apply to the schools that you listed above. Something doesn’t add up.

First, congrats to you for getting into all those great schools! Second, I agree with Aunt Bea. If Emory was your dream school, go there. Don’t let the name of an ivy convince you to go there.

I must have misspoke or you misunderstood. I did get accepted to Penn. I will go back and review my other status. Thank you for letting me know! Btw, which thread was it on? I have 3

Schools I would be applying to next year would be schools more up north including Upenn, NYU, BC, Indiana, Bentley, UNC, Georgetown, MIT (haha), Cornell, Virginia, Michigan. I believe I could get into some of these schools, give or take.Any suggestions or new insight would be appreciated.

You said that Emory was the best school you got into, and you clearly stated that you didnt get into Upenn.

You are absolutely right! I did. By mistake however. I meant Virginia. And yes, Emory is my first choice (as of right now). I apologize for that mistake, but would appreciate any opinions on THIS thread. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I don’t know…something seems sketchy. Confusing Penn State with UPenn would be a little more understandable, but UVA? That’s a bit of a stretch.

I would go to Emory, in any case, since it seems like you haven’t even applied to Stanford, MIT, Cornell, etc. So you don’t seem to have that many options. But Emory is a great school so you’ll be fine. Good luck!

I should probably just a new thread. Everyone is confused (which is my own fault). Using my previous thread and this one is confusing. They are concerning two different areas of interest.
