(factor in recruiting potential)

MAJOR: Business Management
Colleges: Harvard, Dartmouth, Amherst, Williams, Princeton, Cornell, Duke, Every Ivy League duhhhh [Wakeforest, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, Tufts, Davidson, Pomona, UNC, Haverford]

While nobody can say for certain that you're a lock for the Ivy League, I'd say you're an extremely strong candidate. Possibly the only weakness in your stats profile is your SAT score, which is still average (and well above average for URM).

I'd be really surprised if you didn't get into at least one of HYPS. Of course, you're still going to need great recs and strong essays. Are you in contact with the soccer coaches at any schools? That could be another huge boost.

thanks
..that was just my first time taking the SAT so hopefully it'll improve but i know that's my weakness i was just hoping the gpa and ec's would make up for it
and yeah i have been in contact with some of the soccer coaches a met a couple so that's looking promising too

bump
thanks

I can't believe you highlighted the fact that you are a URM in your title. This disturbs me.

well if ur being scouted for any
ur in for sure
ur amazing

Yeah, I agree with Bigtwix and Lionsonaplane in saying that your chances are pretty outstanding for all of the schools you've listed. Of course, with the Ivy League and the most selective LACs (Amherst & Williams), no one knows for sure... but you should get into at least a few of the nine.

Harvard University... SEMI-REACH.
Princeton University... SEMI-REACH.
Yale University... SEMI-REACH.
Brown University... SEMI-REACH.
Columbia University... SEMI-REACH.
University of Pennsylvania... GOOD FIT.
Dartmouth College... GOOD FIT.
Cornell University... GOOD FIT.
Amherst College... GOOD FIT.
Williams College... GOOD FIT.
Duke University... SEMI-REACH
Wakeforest University... SAFETY.
Vanderbilt University... LIKELY.
Georgetown University... GOOD FIT.
Tufts University... LIKELY.
Davidson College... LIKELY.
Pomona College... GOOD FIT.
University of North Carolina... LIKELY.
Haverford College... LIKELY.

you have 2 extreme hooks working for you on top of otherwise impressive stuff, particularly the rank...i'd say you're in wherever you apply early

With good recs, youb stand an excellent chance anywhere. A val URM, recruitable athlete, val with decent scores--they'll be begging.

Most of your colleges however, do not have business majors. UPenn is your school for that followed by MIT and NYU Stern.

if it were possible to get merit scholarships at HYPS, the person to receive one would be you.

Suze is correct that majoring in business administration is not possible at most of these schools (if any). However, you might want to examine your goals... are you looking to get an MBA? If so, you needn't have an undergrad degree in business.

well for soccer- UNC, Duke and Wake Forest are the best- davidson is decent and the rest are mediocre or below- so if you wanna play in college DI competitively then those three are good but otherwise u have a very good shot at the ivys/ others like emory

Out of the schools you listed, I believe only Penn, Cornell, Georgetown, UNC, and Wake Forest have an undergrad business program. If you're really serious about going into management as an undergrad you should look at schools like MIT, UVA, UC Berkeley, etc.

You can major in business administration at Dartmouth College, and they have an outstanding business school.

I could imagine the internships Dartmouth business undergrads would get =P

Actually, You can't major in business at Dartmouth.

You can't major in business at Dartmouth (or most of the Ivies), but Dartmouth is a top 7 feeder into top business jobs. It has an incredible track record with wall street and top consulting firms. Also alumni are tremendously loyal, which helps a lot.

Anyway you have a great list and I bet you'll get in almost everywhere.

basically,
im not a fan of URM because i think people should get into colleges off of strictly how good they are, but
you are amazing at everything.
If you put white on ur application you would still likely get in.
But yeah
do URM anyway.

You'll be incredibly successful in the college application process and you deserve it.

"..do URM anyway."

LOL. URM = under represented minority. you BE an URM. you dont DO an URM.
