My friend and i are both applying to Columbia. She got an interview but I didn’t, and I’m curious as to if that means something negative for my application and me.
I also have several friends who applied to Brown, three of which had their alumni interview already, meanwhile i have yet to be contacted. I was told they would be happening through the end of February, which is coming to a close soon.
Any ideas, comments, etc.?
@averagej0e Has your email address changed? Have you checked your spam folder? For Brown, I believe the reviewer report was due by 2/15 so I would not think you will have an interview scheduled at this point. I wouldn’t read anything into not hearing from either school because they don’t interview possible admits. They just schedule the interview once your application is submitted. Did you contact either of these schools? Brown’s email said that if the student did not have an interview scheduled by 2/1, you were to contact the school.
Lots of posts this year from kids who didn’t get interviews. If they can’t get to you (some shortage of interviewers, eg,) it doesn’t predict anything. Imo, interviews are important, but the train doesn’t stop, without one.
@averagej0e On the Brown RD thread, someone was just contacted for their interview. lt seems they are still trying to get through the interviews. Maybe you should call to see if you will interview or not depending on availability in your location. Good luck and remember, if you aren’t offered an interview, don’t read anything into it.
sry for late response – i dont think it does
i didnt have an interview but they sent me a likely letter 3 days ago
last year, a person who applied ed didnt get an interview and got in and another person who applied rd did get an interview and got in
