ivy league level sat score?

ViggyRam: Nice hockey game, eh? We’ll get you next time. A 2200 is pretty strong (see above), but remember you are not really foreign. You are more like . . . uh Canadian - like pennies, not so different.

^LOL, actually, I bet my friends that the US would go further than Canada in the tournament. I thought Canada would choke and that the US was built for a short tournament format. They laughed at me and bet me (I told them the whole time that Miller just needs to steal that one game in a short tournament format, but they still laughed at me). But I owe them nothing(won NFL playoff bets to cancel it out). My parents are moving to Houston after i’m done high school and my brother will go to high school there and we’re getting our perm. resid. soon. So, really, I was kinda divided in the Canada game.

Anyways, Canada owned the podium and really showed what we can accomplish. And I’m happy the US won the overall medal count too.

And why is there almost a trend of 2200-2290 doing better than 2300-2350 or w/e the second range was? On average the percents in that sample data favour the first range. Just sayin’, I know its a small amount of data, but the trend is evident.

I understand your sportsmanship but that was a terrible finish. The US beat Canada in hockey during the Olympics - just not when it counted, unfortunately.

Indeed; I was very pleased by that, but absolutely annoyed by the hockey result (even though the average Canadian player was paid over $3 million more than the average US player). Given the unlikelihood that NHL players will be competing in Sochi and the dominance of the United States’ current U-20 teams, I believe that the US will have great luck in 2014 and as a future global hockey power.

You people seriously need to get a life. A 2290 is a great score, why are you even wasting our time by asking if it is in par with the ivy league scores. All you have to do is go to there web page and look at their test score ranges. Get a life!

Maybe different people have different standards for themselves.

^^ I think someone’s jelous… Stop ■■■■■■■■ sstewart. You clearly don’t realize that at these types of schools, nearly perfect scores are expected to be even considered… The higher the score, the higher the chance of getting in. period.

@sstewart

Those test score ranges you refer to are often inaccurate.

The mean score is usually pulled down by people who get in due to factors that do not relate to academics such as legacies, athletes, and under-represented minorities. Usually a good quarter to half of the school applications are reserved for these factors.

Therefore the top of the test score range is usually the minimum needed.

is 2360 considered ‘top of the test score range’?

Sorry, I somewhat exaggerated a bit too much about how high you need for ivies.
Still, my main point is that the ranges are not always accurate and that being at the sub 50th percentile will not be admitted most of the time.

2250 is considered safe for Ivies.

2200 is considered qualified.

2100 is considered borderline.

Yes driftwood. Personally anything 2350 or higher is tippy tippy top. 2300 higher is very high. Lower than that I am personally not striving for.

you’re fine! my older cousin applied early decision to Cornell with a 1860… but she won a few awards, amazing volunteer work, plus took loads of APs

Fk you guys Im a ■■■■■ because I am giving my opinion? Seriously get a life people and get off my ass. All you people do is critisize others for stating their opinion and call them ■■■■■■. You people need to get done to the real world and see that this person’s scores are great. Of course the person would be more competitive with an higher score, but to say that this score is ok or whatever is simply inane. Get off my case aholes and learn to live with the fact that this is the real world.

Let’s all try to stay civil and keep things in context. Thanks.

Sorry Silver. I just don’t appreciate people like the above posters. Hell who am I to judge, maybe if I met some of these people in reality we would be good friends. It’s just that I simply stated my opinion and automatically I am called a ■■■■■ and am perceived as being jealous. People like the above posters( not all of them) are what make all the other nations in the world hate this country so much. The people here hear, see, or sense something and they automatically assume this and that.

sstewart, I heard posting ignorant comments on cc also prepares you for the real world!!!

Wow?? Is that really aall you have to say. Stop being a child and grow up.^

Wow. I am profoundly smarter after your coherent words of wisdom.

NOT

tehehehe

What???

Are there any differences between 2180 and 2200+ for Ivies?
